Very nicely put and well overstood. Im with you 95% up until HIM. Rasta MUST sight his majesty as the nucleus to existance, as the only qualified ruler. Cant be ras and not sight HIM. Whether as God, King, Iyasus, Neter/NTGR, or supreme image of oneself

Rastaman by nature is a pan African garveyite. I don't know how ones seperate them as different. I think my original post in this thread (page 1) put my argument across best

Haile Selassie I Jah the black redeemer without a any apology

Garvey, my response was poorly written due to lack of sleep. Please forgive any inaccuracies. Also, I am not myself a Rasta, so, again I apologize. I have only ever met and truly known one Rasta.

And, to the "white" Rastas who think I'm racist. Dudes, I'm a white man. Just not a blind one. I recognize the evil in the system and how it's skewed toward white males.

No offense rootswork I don't have any particular bone to pick with you but I'm curious...
You're not Rasta yourself, you've met one in your life, yet you felt equipped and compelled to define what RasTafarI is and who should or shouldn't participate? I'm not mad at it but what gives you this right?

There is an old saying it takes one to know one....

In general, i think society have their own definition of rasta. Usually based on loose associations and media.... not saying that a rootswork. But ive seen a few times now ones who de I might call a babylonian dash judgement and corrupted opinion on what 'is and isn't rasta'

Good point. But maybe he isnt speaking from the perspective of what rasta is or isnt but from the perspective of white society, as a self professed white man. I have never been a muslim but would feel right to tell I black brother and sister is not really for dem. ....from a black perspective if u sight the similarity

Maybe im wrong

Nothing gives me the right to define Rasta. I withdraw myself from the discussion.

Any man or woman is/can be RasTafarI if the person sight His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I as the Ilmighty and keep on growing in Ital life. This is not a opinion it is just how it is. Bitwoded Abat ya lijoch.

Some might site it as more. The problem is Rastafari is not a religion with a book or dogma set in stone, there is no 'just how it is' which is why certain thing, including this topic keep coming up with each man sighting it different. This a endless debate

True Iya RasTafarI is much more than what I mentioned. I do not sight it as a problem that Ras TafarI is no religion with a book or doctrine. I am instead glad to know this. Iman is saying that no I out there can be RasTa and not see TafarI as the most high. There is no such thing and yes I that is how it is and should be. But if someone claims that what Iman mentioned never believe them those people must be intentionally lieing to others or non-intentionally fooling theirselves and others. Something else is ofcourse possible but the 2 points I shared are pretty common and likely Iman think.

Will Rastafari become another Christianity with 1000s is factions and sects? This one reason I don't like labels and titles, ones of different opinions but under same label or title only causes separation sum times hatred under d title, one is always true and right while all other false or lost. I kno d more a movement spreads d more diff thoughts enter, but often displacing d original spirit wit more mainstream accepted and comfortable ideas. I for one don't sight D King as d Most High dat bring bible god to I thinking which was really the god of Melechizidec and d Canaanites not d Hebrews so I try stay way from biblical terms. I personally sight King Selassie for d African King he was and things he did for d forwarding of Africans all over and one thing really touch I d Shashamane land grant as a way for InI to forward Africa land of InI mothers/fathers when InI were captured 1000s of miles way from deh and no other leader in Africa has done so yet! So I look to HIM more as I leader/guide I African Royalty I King but not as god in biblical way, in Kemetical/African way yeh as I sight all life as Ntr!

I sight wit d I GA 100 in dis yah!

Yes nyah

↑; is dis we ah fight gainst. Shouldnt be allowed to happen in rastafari. Burn a new idea having foundation changing dread. I think someone in here already try reason with I that 'rasta has evolved' fire + more fire. Perfection can't evolve.
