when u mentioned bout if ppl. would smoke crack if heroes promoted it. My lord, some yute worship sizzla and some of these artists like they are God, like they are Rastafari and not Selassie. I was surpised to see this in yard, but I was with a priest from the camp and reasoned with a yute. The yute talk bout Selassie and emmanuel but his idea of worship was the guidance of sizzla on his shirt. So, I believe that can happen if u don't know who u are.
These artists wanna keep up folly, that is on them, but when ur on the spotlight ones and ones need to watch how they carry themselves cause they representing Rastafari.

I really do not overs this thing about they dont consider them as bobo and things. I hear sizzla and capleton and such do wonderful things for their communities and the Rasta community and then i hear they dont consider them as bobo. I know bobo is a strict order but still....idk im just seeking clarity
You say the Hill teaches that reggae cannot bring u salvation, and i agree wholehearted, but the strange thing is i am almost sure Sizzla and them would agree too. If you watch the VBS interview i put up, you will see him touch upon the very same subject, even the Ten commandments , how Nyabhinghi is the real Kings music, but that ini cannot use nyabhinghi to go out there and commercialise it and try to earn money from it, so ini use reggae as ini still in babylon, and the Commandments say, thou shalt not steal. the youths have to eat dont they?

As for roots music, there are still plenty youths upholding it still, as Richie Spice chant, there is a whole barrage of righteous youthman out there....Tarrus Riley stand up

oh and sistren, who or what is nico bam bam? lol

Give thanx for the link, do u have runaway slave? It is not that they don't love sizzla or these singers, but in deed they do not i-sider them bobo. They not saying them not rasta, but they just not bobo. But, I am no expert on this, just what I heard. I will get clearance from a priest. Anything I have said incorrectly please let I know, give thanx..
Many times I see some of these singers actions and i want to reason, cause I n I not perfect. At times I n I will make mistakes or go astray(if that is a correct choice of word). I real eyes that Jah will judge I n I all.
I will reason with this to a priest and get forward to u..blessed

Give thanks sistren,

but i am still wondering.
In one of the videos i put up for example, im not sure on which one it was, but Sizzla was talking about the Tabarnacle he had built in his yard, and he is talking of how priests come there to do the services, and how sizzla and the idren there partake and learn from the service and use what they learn there to spread the Word of Rastafari in the music as artists and musicians.
Now i may be wrong, but when he says priests, i am assuming that he is talking of the BoboShanti Priests, no?

like i say im just wondering, and again, hope the i will share once the i gets clearance

oh and no, i havent seen the video you mention. will look for it

Norris Man beaten by Sizzla’s entourage

06-Aug-07 | by A.K.A., Contributing Writer

What a way Norris Man persistent! The man cause two riot at St. Mary Mi Come From when an army of bobos descended on him and beat him to a pulp after he told Sizzla to 'suck his madda' while both of them were onstage.

Norris Man had been waiting backstage while Sizzla was performing an extended set. Norris Man walked onstage and began to perform. He told Norris Man to behave himself and leave the stage, and then Norris Man blurted out what could have been his death warrant when he said 'suck yu madda'.

Sizzla simply said, 'what yu tell me 'bout mi madda' and suddenly, a small army of turban-wearing men began to beat Norris Man savagely. In the meantime, Sizzla continued to deejay as if nothing had happened.

The onstage altercation caused a melee at the front of the stage, as some rastafarians in the crowd began to jump onstage in an earnest attempt to beat Norris Man as well. Capleton was able to restore order with a long stream of expletives and the show resumed. However, later, Norris Man returned onstage and appealed to the people, 'see what dem do me' and this time, he was boxed and mauled, and dragged off the stage like a ragdoll by another set of angry rastafarians. The crowd was terrified by what they were witnessing and there were several mini-stampedes throughout the packed venue.

One man shouted in awe: "Ah suicide Norris Man waah commit, why him go up there again?'

hahaha this shits funny, just like some wutang clan concert or 50 cent. All yall act suprised do any of you got sizzla cds? has anyone watched the shottas music video with him and julez santana. Hes always talkin about bein a gangster one minute and then speaking about righteousness the next. Of course theres these fans out there that wanna put a twist on the story and say this and that. Homeboy is a little on the pissed of crazy side and needs to completely step into rastafari by letting go of a gun totting mentality. Then again I cant judge because who knows what I would do if that fool talked about suckin my mama.hahaha what a crackhead!

peace

No surprise for I.
Never liked Sizzla style, to much shouting, little singing.
I don't recognize him as a blessed artist.
There is lots and lots great Rastafarian artists, maybe not so popular like him, but the songs them sing are truly honest psalms, I man Love it!!!

This kind of behavior is good for nothing, and shows where the respect to others lay, even if offended shouldn't act this way.

Just causing confusion, have enough of illusions.

We might disagree with what happened but
let us not try to take away from the man´s talent because, to I, at least, the talent in that short youth is simply astounding, and im quite sure all the "lots and lots great Rastafarian artists" will admit it too.The i dem might not realize it but sizzla´s influence on the music runs deeeeep, and i am mean musically speaking
funny thing
the other day, before this thing happened, i heard a recent Norris Man song, and all i was thinking was, if this was hip hop, norris man would have been accused of "biting" Sizzla
