It depends on circumstances but generally both - one has the power to choose but the alcohol has a great infuence on the mind too - not to mention the capitalist industry that reaps billions from people's abuse and misuse of it.

but then it all comes back to the person's choices so ulltimately it is the person that is responsible or irresponsible.

what is it that i don't get yaa?

that alcohol is the culprit and not man ------- that one should stay away from grapes because they can be made into wine-------please tell me what it is i don't get?

do i not get the fact that i should have one supreme guru and listen and obey everything that they say without question?

please, what is it that i soooooo do not get?

do i not get it that if i(or anyone for that matter) disagree with the fundamentalist on the board i(we) will be wrong?

is that what i don't get? that i should have blind faith?

Greetings
Still Looking and Empress Yaa - if you will allow I to cut in on your reasoning - its not fully a person's choice I, no one just wakes and decides to abuse liquor there is a whole history of movements that leads to that final push I. Some people are born in poverty, others feel like life is closing in on them, others have complicated internal battles which becomes an addictin, others do it out of a need for comfort so don't say you are responsible for what you do - as a teacher I'm sure you understand the different trials and tribulations your young students face and how these circumstances influence how they socialise with the world - what they choose or don't choose is very much dependent on an individual's circumstances not just blank right or wrong choice. Bless

With all do Raspect Sistren.....Environment has nothing to do with it. Addiction is not real. "addiction" is a cop out, i dont care who u are. People are what they manifest. Karma is a by product of choices that people make. Poverty, Wealth, "middle class", all of it, its what that person manifests.

have the I ever heard the sayin...."you are what you eat".....well.....its like that.

I heard this Once also, "people use the excuse of heaven and hell to justify what is right or wrong, or as motivation to do so. there is no heaven above the earth and there is no hell buried under the earth....Hell is what u go through, and heaven is what you make it"

the wicked have the right to be redeemed, but it comes down to their choice as to what they want.

Ises Sitren.....Irie reasonin.....please dont hold back.....if i am mistaken i am eager to learn.....Jah Bless.

ten -----imagine----we have two people growing up in the same environment of suffering. one gets into drugs the other gets into school. by your reasoning it should figure that they both end up the same, but we all know that does not happen. why? because of the CHOICES they made ---period.

yes -- life provides obstacles, but we decide how to getover that obstacle.

have you seen the movie "the pursuit of happyness"? if so you know he did not choose a life of crime or suicide like many might ---he CHOSE a positive life --- tough times in life may not make you as much as they reveal you or give you an opportunity to change you.

peace
