JAH set high expectations for mankind. We will get there. Its not just killing the body of human/animals, we must acknowledge the killing of the soul also. Look at what 'wet markets are' in China, and why people would rather die in the flesh fighting for freedom to than be dead/killed spiritually as slaves.
