Of course I heard a Ras curse before.
It was not only the cursing that was I point although also part of the meaning.
I point was to show that he is still the old snoop dogg in attitude and confirms it himself by saying so.

Here is what he said exactly
" I am still Snoop (motherfucking) Dogg ‘til I die but when I make my reggae music I am in the light of Snoop Lion,"

Notice the words "BUT WHEN I MAKE MY REGGAE MUSIC I AM SNOOP LION"

Is Rastaman only Rasta when he is recording in the studio and then back to dogg again like "chtistians" who get out of church?

But again,I am not saying these things to judge the man like "look he is this and that" foolishly. But I am simply bringing forth facts so we may know what we are dealing with;Like the I said yourself "can't know what's in a man's heart.."
And this goes as well in the positive as in the negative sense.

Live Up

Snoop dogg snoop lion he never said anything about being Rasta or not. Them are both his stage name and persona, he didnt mention any introspective insight into the condition of Calvin.

But even if he was a devil. I give thanks for a positive LP delivered in the light of Rastafari from an artist of dem heights. He did it right and went back to the grassroots. If he made the LP in his mansion in LA without consulting any dreads DEN I wud b vex. If he tryed to sneak in babylonian subliminals into his lyrics like the OG argument from axum, DEN I wud b vex.

A jus so I sight it.

Big up Nate Iya

It's a tricky path entertainers walk because popular culture puts them under a microscope. Who among us feels equipped to raise our voice and speak to the world for an entire movement? Do not fault a man for his lack of perfection, praise him for his willingness to bring awareness. Reggae artists are just that, not saints.

Repost:

Still don't quite know how this man with his jeWISHness none claiming HIM as the Almighty got let into the domain of Roots Reggae music. And propelled by the beast to the top, above cert veteran artist. Reggae / Rasta go hand in hand. I don't like this Jew boy...

But the point being made here is one quite obvious. LIGHTNESS and WHITENESS seems to get promoted much much much more, even in REGGAE MUSIC. Why Bob reach such a heights while Bunny and Peter stay relatively a background? (Apart from Africa). UB40, Sean Paul, Damien/Steven, Shaggy, Alborosie, Collie Buddz..... the list goes on........... and does hold a lot of truth. Dem deh artist never reach whe dem reach because dem was the most talented, truth be told! Dem never reach dem heights true talent alone..... stop dat. Blessed LOVE to my darkskin crew, black is beautiful, one day you will get your reward.

Eek A Mouse takes a Stand
Midnite keeps his cool but drops subliminals...

To say that dark skinned artist reached the Ites through talent and light skinned artist through skin color and "getting propelled by the beast" is pure bias and prejudice.

Why did Bob reach the Ites he reached?
Becoz King RasTafarI chose him just as HE chooses others to bring the message across to the people.

Babylon doesn't care about skin color in music, they care about what goes into the people ears and this is evident in hip hop and perhaps even pop.
So Babylon would not promote anyone no matter how light or dark his skin is,to preach RasTafarI truth to the people.

A spiritual battle we must remember!

Partially true, if it's positive thing dey a rather it light if negative darker is better not always the case but often or dey push d one love less militant stance as with Martin and Malcolm. Dey try pass Michael Jackson's torch on to Justin Timberlake, give hiphop best artist over to Eminem, to say Babylon doesn't care abou skin color in music or whatever is biased! The biggest name intertainers in any industry usually won't be dark and in American industries they are usually mixed first or second generation if they are of African descent. Same way dey giv us Rosa Parks over Claudette Colvin.

Right^^ its all over the entertainment industry let alone music let alone reggae.

Bob - lightskinned / half white. Peace and ONE love
Peter - darkskinned. No peace before JUSTICE.

.... its obvious....

Sean Paul comes to mind as of recent times, a random DJ who did not have nearly the best tune on the riddim.... yet when babylon come knocking it GIMME DE LIGHT international and nobody else with the better tune on the same riddim get a food. Countless examples. Kartel knew this lol

I think EEK A MOUSE who himself is reggae-legend status, makes a very VALID point in the interview. Good on him for taking a stand and walking out

'If you white you alright
you brown, stick around
you black? get back
or you better attack...' - JA proverb

Don't think for a second if Obama looked like Khalid Muhammad he wuda own or even campaigned for presidency. I still think if HIM had look like Mugabe and Tosh at forefront of Marley many white Rastas wouldna take to RastafarI. If all things is what n what and one light and one dark dey go push d light it bn dat way and longs dey got power it go b dat way or dey find way to bring down d dark star and replace wit a lighter less stand upish one! And I medium tone I self!
