I give thanks for all the responses. It's not that I believe in everything written in the bible or don't believe in what's not.But I was rather confused about how people keep talking about a place that is nowhere mentioned in the book they use. As for the afterlife,I have heard from people I know who went through near death experiences where the soul gets out of the body and you see the tunnel with the light at the end.I don't think these people are lying.Most people who go through NDE are utterly changed and have no more fear of death the rest of their earthly lives. And then there is also Astral Projection wich Iman Iself has purposely experienced one time.It's an out of body experience (OBE) when the soul/consciousness/Astral body gets out of the body and you look at it and walk or fly around... Astral projection And Idren Eleazar,I don't know what the I means by posting these things.But someone just like InI painting or singing about something is far from proof that this something exists. I had to laugh. That painting look like the thing from samurai jack haha. The earliest we see the judging of a soul afterdeath come from incient kemet. But the idea of hell come from greek mythology and IS suggested in the bible Rev 6:8 "I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Why a greek God is mentioned in the Bible raises another set of questions...... But i'l leave it there for now! Other references: 2 Peter 2:4: "For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into Taratus and committed them to pits of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment;" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tartarus In some modern versions of the bible they changed HADES and TARTARUS to 'Hell' but this is not the original translation. The question remains, why is Greek Mythology present in the word of God?

To I everything bible basically start wit Moses teachings, NT is later sometime seem like some start wit NT den I into OT and get a NT understanding of OT thru Paul mainly but Jesus also. If one start wit Moses one would never get d idea of people goin to hell or heaven in d sense of a place mayb a state but not a place or any of the other NT doctrines. Hell is pure d HELLenistic, came only after Greek rise in dat area

Yes GA.I think the answer to that is quite simple Iya and we are all aware of it.The Bible was EDITED. ^Moses did mention something about the afterlife king.And it may aswell be interpreted as going to heaven. Psalm 90 10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years,yet is their strength labour and sorrow;for it is soon cut off,and we FLY AWAY.
