To me, whether or not Jesus Christ was a synthesis of multiple personages possessing admirable wisdom or a single man who lived in the time frame specified by the Bible, is not especially important. What's important is the content of His Teachings which are wise and true. Jesus provides a mythological function for me. Haile Selassie I is the living God who I know through revelation and His direction to us to emulate Jesus Christ is especially meaningful.
