i think that once I&i realized (many, many years ago) that in my own heritage & personal history I&i was both the Slaver and the Slave, the Beater and the Beaten, the Torturer and the Tortured, the Jailer and the Jailed, the Bomber and the Bombed...i realized that through livity we, each one of us, experience (in our own way) both sides of all of the suffering ever experienced (e.g., ever wonder why the richest, healthiest, most privileged people in the world are still suffering?). The notion of judgment or seeking revenge seemed pointless -- just more accumulated suffering into the compilation for everyone. That is why, even though there's no escaping this reality of our connectedness to one another and our ancestors, in order to put our vision to reality: I&i strive, with the help of JAH, to control my own emotions and not to allow anger or HateDread to manipulate me. I&i seek to promote Love, tolerance, and Inity.

Rasmi, What people tend to mistake is that for all of our similarities we're all different and unique. People strive for unity so much that they end up pushing each other away whereas if we strive for harmony and accept our differences then we can love each other with that Jah love that you're talking about. And because we're all different each spiritual path is like a thumbprint. It's for you and no one else. No one can say you're right, but no one can say you're wrong either. It is only in seeking something different, something wholly our own that our minds gravitate to, only in that freedom of thought to search, to find what IanI need... that honest quest is what spirituality is all about. So as long as you are honest and love is your intention then you're always on the right path and at the end of that path is your highest self. The Most High. It's not what other people define it to be. It is the unique experience of getting there that is the transformation/evolution into divinity. At the end of the day, whether you use the bible or not is up to you. How true or false it is shouldn't really matter if what you're seeking is within yourself. I prefer a combination of the bible and Star Wars. Is it science fiction? Absolutely. It pretends to be nothing more and I appreciate that. But I'm not ashamed that I have learned a lot from it and therefore I am studying Jediism as a 'religion' or way of life. But I'm also rooted in black liberation, one love, and drawn to RastafarI. The more you give yourself the freedom be that unique self searching for your answers the faster you will get to your goal. I love you. I respect you. And I wish nothing but success on your journey.

Nesta InI people don't have hatred in our hearts but we will NEVER forgot our journey and our introduction into Christianity through bloodshed and terrorism. If the Bible was pure and righteous the mere fact of how it was introduced to we would still put I off. And it still wouldn't mean what we were practicing beforehand was any LESS pure or righteous.... But the fact is Opening the Bible one sees Bible God is ordaining his chosen people to go into other people's lands and "take over" in other words COLONIALISM. One sees God instructing people to love their slavemaster in full "submission" to slavery. INI CAN NEVER ACCEPT SUCH A BOOK. It doesn't matter if it contains any goodness after that.....as Ark I said I don't want to drink vinegar just because it has a little honey in it! And then there's the racism And the misogyny within the Bible text. These things are Inherently none African and completely maligned with I people original teachings. Then there's the Kemetic slander, the stories such as Noah and the 6000 year world timeline which take away from the 200,000+ African history that InI people have. This thread is 600 posts almost full to the brim of Bible ideologies and history which is maligned with Uni African history and culture, being offensive to Ini awakened Maafa The Bible is completely and ultimately not for I people and I will continue to champion that. THIS THREAD is a space for burning the Bible which InI both demand and deserve. If you disagree then this thread isn't for you....Please take any Bible loving ways to another thread and not here as this thread is about taking the noose from I people brain. That IS love not hatred

The whole idea of a Son of God is offensive to I Rastafari philosophy Jesus Christ (if true) is no more closer to the divine than I Garvey's Africa. Neither Peter Paul Mark or John.. The Bible no more divinely inspired than InI speech during this thread. I resonate on Dem level deh. I am King Alpha as set out in the Parchment Scrolls

Taken from an earlier post (I love this thread and recommend it's reading in its fullness): According to the bible it's OK to beat your slaves as long as they get up from their assault inflicted comatose state in the next day or two.... That IS one of the 613 COMMANDMENTS or LAWS  And to further the point.... who would these slaves of this time of that area have been? Quite possibly and quite likely InI Kushite Kemetyu African ancestors. No Book sanctioning such behaviour will ever be prescribed by me for our people. And nobody can tell I different

There's that chip again, G.A. The Bible is just a book and i'm very candid about my assessment of it (i.e., i don't exactly give it a five star review). As I&i see it, anything about JAH RastafarI, including His extolling of the virtues of the Bible, are relevant content on this website and important to the communication being fostered here. That His Majesty's attitude toward the Bible (e.g., "For my part I glory in the Bible") differs markedly from your own is quite relevant to the participants here just as information for the over all context of our varied trods and presenting such balancing information should create no ill will. The profound duality -- that a lot of horrible acts have been committed citing the Bible as their basis and that a lot of benevolent acts have been committed citing the same Bible as their basis -- is a fascinating reality that is important to considering the whole of the issue. The Bible's just a book. An inanimate object. If it's offensive to you then don't open it. But certainly you respect others enough to permit them the expression of their views on the subject, do you not? After all, I&i not a book -- I&i am a human (YouMan) and a brother. Respect.

The rememberence of slavery is not a chip I would appreciate if you withhold referring to it as such. I shall never forget in any lifetime. It is not just a book it is a collection of books which I ancestors were whipped and beaten and slaughtered into accepting while simultaneously forced to forget our original practices. It is a book which ordained such behaviour. It is a book with the Quran which has noosed the mind of the MAJORITY of I people on this EARTH through TERRORISM and force. Hence being Highly relevant in the redemptive freedom of the black psyche in this time. No my friend it isn't just a book it is a reference point of I experiences, a reminder, a pacifistic tool used by slavemaster, a symbol of wickedness in InI experience I AM a tolerant man and this thread was created so I am not running around the entire forum with this rhetoric. There are more Bible worshipping threads in this forum then there are like this. It's not even close. This is a space for ones who wish to openly criticize the Bible and Christianity and you must respect it as such
