I am white and I have found a new spiritual life from the teachings of Jah Rastafari. It is teaching me a new way of life with Jah as #1. Without this I would be a near faithless person....yet you 'real black rastas' tell faith seeking white people like me to go away and that we don't belong. Again, ones never said anyone can't be a rasta. Just a explain something..... I find an interview with the rasta Elder and Teacher who been on the trod for over. 50 years - Mutabaruka. Here he discusses the origin of rasta , why it doesn't matter what haile selassie believed in or said about the bible, and other misunderstood topics with rasta. 19:30 onward:

Garveys Africa, I watched some of that vid and here's something I gained from it: I don't have to be from Jamaica, I don't have to have locks, I don't have to smoke the herb, I don't even have to be black to have faith in Jah Rastafari. Some of them in the video claim they trod Rasta. Even if I am mistaken about the video what I say about Rasta still hold true: for some Rasta it most definitely matters what haile selassie believed in or said about the bible. And for some Rasta it don't.

Yeah but what muta is saying is if haile selassie says directly to look to be a Christian and don't worship man them why are you not listening to him? And then ask why we don't share his faith? But iyah oats. The man in the video Claimed rasta but muta showed him his mistake. A common mistake. He claimed rasta AND claimed Orthodox Church The two are not the same! Orthodox Church and rasta don't even get along But I didn't post this to say muta word is the final word I jus a show it's not just GARVEYS Africa a come with some left wing ideas these are common beliefs in our movement! From I join this site it look very one way, and that's not rasta, we have many differing ideologies within the faith. I like to promote people to think about their stale ideologies and either tighten them up or revise them.
