I just watched the Documentary Sierra Leone's Refugee All-Stars and was completely inspired by these bredrin.
They all came together in a refugee camp in Guinea after being forced from their homes by a brutal civil war that plagued Sierra Leone for over twelve years.
I was amazed at how this group could come together and unite other refugees with their music after suffering some of the worst atrocities in history. This documentary is a testament to the power of faith and music.
If the Idren are able, I highly reccomend the I dem rent this movie. Their album is great too. It is a mix of Reggae and West African Folk music. Listen to a few of the songs here
