I see why they came back for the spices
to flavour the meet and the mingle
the names signed flatline
bland
Van Gogh for the heightened senses?
a fully decorated Massai
would spice the rigor mortis from his eyes

Experience

The concrete was once mortar
the mother was once daughter
a helluva lot softer

We know

Is it not true that we know love
forever and ever
We praise the Gods with our understanding
with our stupidity
we sanctify Holy
for to question degree’s of impossibility
battles even waste
yes we know we know
for even waste knows his specific quantity
we know
so they perceive us stupid
in our humility
as the meek inherits the baton
prepare to flee
from hate to bias
we know
the unicycle maneuverability
where you pay for balance with difficulty
yes we know
and choose to live so
and the pure exudes vulnerability
and we know

Intriguing to read his written poetry, though as when a student learns from the very presence of a teacher, the spoken word carries the movement that the written lacks.

Wisdom Sez

wisdom falls in love so easily
that pain becomes the perpetual burden of the wise
understanding frailty makes the bully uneasy
for fear is present within its size
and the whimsical look
that dismays acknowledged beauty
belongs to retention of the minute
for the walked over stepped on who will ever know me
is the needed intangible attempt at truth
and the attempt at truth is significantly wholesome
for the unknown is unknown
because it is
and only the wisdom of searching humility
elevates the pure up from the ashes
and those who walk with eyes to the ground
in waste land
they prove it
for the rare is always found
and wisdom again has been scorned as eccentricity
for to teach and never learn
is a human hound
and one whiff of the trail
and we’re gone with the gusto
and to be wrong and adamant
is the flaw that we all know
but wisdom is slow to be wrong and when right
does not declare victory with malicious delight
and years sometimes pass
with the words unsaid
for well meaning wisdom won’t reach the misled

So Is Silence

silence speaks sometimes with anger
sometimes with contemplation
sometimes with silence
the nothingness of disapproval
has the power to remold
the schemer regards the silence of contemplation
as a race of silent counter action
what and when
silence and gravity
perhaps synonymous
must come down and must calm down
and so the ocean shows the greatness of silence
volumes of swelling power
that rush and rip
and then sit with giant quiet
and so the wind sometimes refuses
to blow a fragile leaf from its last hope
silence does not affirm or confirm or deny
but is the illusion of all
is the true picture of what humanity knows
the silence of ceased life
is the magnification of living prowess
for good
for evil
so silence the messenger
and the messenger will become clearer
and amplified
and resonant
in silence

For a Cause for a Care

to the drum to the drum
miles and multitudes to the drum
orators and peddlers
of reactionary solutions
none for all
just the drum
in some still lives the drum
catatonic jubilant snap out resistant souls in session
rivers of feelings
bacchanalian answer to the stolen misused
intrinsic to the pattern of the mystic
the drum
controlling unseen
now touched with unskilled unclean hands
down beat distortion exploitation
all for shelling the roofs of reason
enough room between index finger and thumb
for their collective love
so come my ancestors come
teach me to make the pulse speak wisdom
spread the wind from rising wings
to ruffle 1 e the hairs on the heads of inspiration
for the travel through the air from ground is rare
