I know Haile Selassie took the title "The Conquering Lion of Judah"
I know he is traced back to the Solomonic dynasty
I know the story about Menelik in the bible now, BUT I still don't get it. I have been searching on this site too about Kush/Ethiopia and I watched "Hebrew Israelites" talk about it.
So my question is. Does it take you several years to find out if Israel was scientifically localized in Ethiopia? If yes. What do reggae singers mean when they say Jerusalem and Israel as if it were Ethiopia?

Israel is within the continent of Africa as described in historical and biblical maps of Africa. From Egypt and all across the Land of Canaan was known as the bible land of Ham. In 1901, an American Admiral by the name of Alfred T. Mahan initiated the term "Middle East" to identify Israel and surrounding areas as such. When the current inhabitants adopted Judaism and moved into Israel, the name "Middle East" became more prominent. FYI, the original Israelites (Hebrews) are not Hamites; they are Shemites. The term Semites was created by those currently occupying Israel.
