Mel: In the book of Mark I and I reads in chapter 7 about Jesus saying there is no virus, that people are the cause for their own destruction because of them believing fake news.
Let's look at Mark chapter 7.
7 Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
You seem to think the Pharisee's practices were ONLY coming from the OT... which... let me point out what everyone here should know. It is the most obvious thing. And that is that there was NO NEW TESTAMENT DURING THIS TIME. The only "bible" or scriptures they had to operate from was the TNK (Tanakh).
OBVIOUSLY... Yeshua (Jesus) was a Jewish rabbi, not a Christian. Christianity didn't exist. The New Testament hadn't been written yet. It was not even a figment of anyone's imagination at this time. So you are clearly confused. If Yeshua was violating the law, then by Christianity's own beliefs, he could not have been a perfect sinless sacrifice and could not have paid your debt.
So when Yeshua said...
Matthew 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
The only law he could have been referring to was the law that already existed.
Or did you not know that Rastas keep the sabbath according to the 10 commandments??
I know. I know.
See, you thought Rastafarians were the same as Christians so if you just threw in a few "I and I"s in your otherwise anglo-Saxon vocabulary, you could simply mimic rastas enough to pass. But you should have at least looked up the Rastafari on Wikipedia! I mean... it's so embarrassing. You should be embarrassed. Fortunately, there's hardly any doctrine/scripture debate on this forum or you would have exposed yourself long ago. But I see straight through you every time you quote the bible.
