Although His Majesty quite deliberately denounced the terminology itself of "black and white" desiring it to be eliminated. So there's really no conundrum. Just a healthy way of looking at allied souls through the same lens without the perpetuation of historically destructive and divisive language & mentality. For example: We RastafarI are Africans!

Thereby acknowledgement (and ceasing the denial) of the reality that the suffering of the people of predominantly darker skin is the suffering of ALL mankind, just as the crimes of any group of people are the crimes of all mankind. Until we accept responsibility for who we are as I-manity and the fact that the suffering of one person cannot be separated from the suffering of another, we are doomed to keep repeating the same history of unnecessarily-self-inflicted suffering over and over and over again.

Ever wonder while the zillionaires of the world suffer anguish & still can't finds happiness? I don't.

Haile Selassie denounced skin colourism. Yet Haile Selassie acknowledges and used labels such as African for self identity

For the 5th time: InI do not use the terminology black as a reference to skin colour but as a reference to the same thing His Majesty means when HE rightfully says the word African. Black is a misnomer yes but InI generally mean African and cannot be criticised for misnomers and self definition of linguistic terminology after 500 years of miseducation and foreign language

There is no contention nor problem.

We Rastafari are not Africans
African Rastafari are Africans

His Majesty did not set Shashemane aside for the entire world but for the African Rastafari of the Carribean who wish to repatriate

I&i can completely relate to where JFK was coming from when he declared:
"Freedom is indivisible, and when one man is enslaved, all are not free. When all are free, then we can look forward to that day when this city will be joined as one and this country and this great Continent of Europe in a peaceful and hopeful globe. When that day finally comes, as it will, the people of West Berlin can take sober satisfaction in the fact that they were in the front lines for almost two decades. All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words 'Ich bin ein Berliner' ".

GENETICS: WE ARE ALL AFRICANS

by Dr. George Busby, Research Geneticist, University of Oxford Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics

October 31, 2016

Three new studies reveal the diversity of early human populations and help pin down when we left Africa.

SUMMARY

--All humans across the globe right now—no exception—trace their roots to Africa.

--Tracing the ancestor of all humans on Earth is a direct consequence of the Human Genome Project (HGP), the international scientific research project with the goal of determining the sequence of nucleotide base pairs which make up human DNA, and of identifying and mapping all of the genes of the human genome from both a physical and a functional standpoint.

--Genetic and paleontological evidence show humans only started to leave Africa between 60,000 and 70,000 years ago.

--What set this in motion is a major cataclysm, something to do with major climatic shifts that were happening around that time—a sudden cooling in the Earth’s climate driven by the onset of one of the worst parts of the last Ice Age.

--The last of our African ancestors who managed to survive and escape Africa were reduced to a population as low as 10,000—humanity was holding on by a thread at this time. It's the ultimate drama of human existence, one to stand for ages to come.

--Genetics will revolutionize human societies in many ways not easy to imagine right now.

Humans are a success story like no other. We are now living in the “Anthropocene” age, meaning much of what we see around us has been made or influenced by people. Amazingly, all humans alive today – from the inhabitants of Tierra del Fuego on the southern tip of the Americas to the Sherpa in the Himalayas and the mountain tribes of Papua New Guinea – came from one common ancestor.

We know that our lineage arose in Africa and quickly spread to the four corners of the globe. But the details are murky. Was there just one population of early humans in Africa at the time? When exactly did we first leave the continent and was there just one exodus? Some scientists believe that all non-Africans today can trace their ancestry back to a single migrant population, while others argue that there were several different waves of migration out of Africa.

Now, three new studies mapping the genetic profiles of more than 200 populations across the world, published in Nature, have started to answer some of these questions.

One might well speculate that the spiritual bond to Africa, as an origin of ancestral heritage & a homeland, embraced by people of all different backgrounds from all different corners of the earth is an I-dentity which is actually genetically coded into the the human being (Homo sapiens sapiens) and thus emerges into the human consciousness of people with no geographic exposure to Africa. This could help to explain why powerful emotions and even physiological responses are triggered by images of the African landscape even in people who have never visited Africa (i.e., their African experience is encoded in their genetic makeup).

His Majesty as leader of the OAU which included all African states and set to include all diaspora states. This never intended to include all countries and people's of the World as Haile Selassie wasn't no fool and recognised what is what and what was seperate about InI as AFRICAN no matter what agenda Nesta tries to push.

"The obscurity which enshrouds the centuries which elapsed between those earliest days and the rediscovery of Africa is being gradually dispersed. What is certain is that during those long years Africans were born, lived, and died. Men on other parts of this earth occupied themselves with their own concerns and, in their conceit, proclaimed that the world began and ended at their horizons. All unknown to them, Africa developed in its own pattern, growing in its own life and, in the nineteenth century, finally re-emerged into the world’s consciousness.....

Those men who refused to accept the judgment passed upon them by the colonisers, who held unswervingly through the darkest hours to a vision of an Africa emancipated from political, economic, and spiritual domination, will be remembered and revered wherever Africans meet....

Africa’s victory, although proclaimed, is not yet total, and areas of resistance still remain. Today, We name as our first great task the final liberating of those Africans still dominated by foreign exploitation and control...

In a very real sense, our continent is unmade; Africa awaits its creation and its creators. It is our duty and privilege to rouse the slumbering giant of Africa, not to the nationalism of Europe of the nineteenth century, not to regional consciousness, but to the vision of a single African brotherhood bending its united efforts toward the achievement of a greater and nobler goal....

The nations of Africa, as is true of every continent of the world, from time to time dispute among themselves. These quarrels must be confined to this continent and quarantined from the contamination of non-African interference....

Military planning for the security of this continent must be undertaken in common within a collective framework. The responsibility for protecting this continent from armed attacks from abroad is the primary concern of Africans themselves...."

“An archetype is any conscious or unconsciously accepted big idea or concept that a) provides answers to Big Questions, b) organize how we see and think about the world, c) organize how we see and think about ourselves, and d) guide/determine our actions and reactions.”

“Notes: Any idea can function as an archetype so long as the idea is accepted into consciousness as significant, and answers some sort of existential Big Question. Ideas that are accepted as answers become 'sacred.' Once an archetype is accepted into an individual's archetype set, it exerts an influence on cognition and behaviour.”

“Carl Jung felt that archetypes were natural phenomenon and suggested that the ongoing experience of something like the diurnal rhythms of Gaia became 'burned in' as an archetype and 'passed on' through the genetics of the body.”

Hence, by Jung’s conclusion, the common ancestral experiences in Africa of the original humans can explain the source of the genetically-based archetype which all human being share and from which they can form the basis of a common African I-dentity that frees humankind from the barriers and conflicts produced out of superficial, societally-assigned labels. This oneness of consciousness in the archetypal/spiritual African I-dentity is much evident in the unity of many RastafarI of all geographic origins, cultural backgrounds, and physical appearances.
