BLACK as a description of the skin colour of the Israelites (and Job the wise man of the east) is used several times in my bible.
Below are exerpts:
Job {30:30} My
skin is BLACK upon me,
Song of Solomon {1:5} I [am] BLACK, but
comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar,
as the curtains of Solomon. {1:6} Look not upon me,
because I [am] BLACK, because the sun hath looked upon me: (Solomon's lover, the Shulamite woman-a woman from the region of Shulam in Israel)
Jeremiah {8:21} For the hurt off the daughter of my people am I hurt;
I am BLACK; astonishment hath taken hold on me.
Jeremiah {14:2} Judah mourneth, and the
gates thereof languish; they are BLACK unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.
Lamentations {4:7} Her Nazarites were purer than
snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in
body than rubies, their polishing [was] of sapphire: {4:8}
Their visage is BLACKER than a coal;
*Visage : the face or aspect or appearance of man.
Lamentations {5:10} Our
skin was BLACK like an oven because of the terrible famine.
Yah'uh`el (Joel) {2:6} Before their face
the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather
BLACKNESS.
Nah'uhm {2:10}
She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth,
and the knees smite together, and much pain [is] in all loins,
and the faces of them all gather BLACKNESS.
2 Esdras {7:55} And that the faces of them which have used
abstinence shall shine above the stars, whereas our faces
shall be BLACKER than darkness?
No silky blonde hair in Hebrew Israel and Yah'uh`dah :
Song of Solomon {5:11} His head [is as] the most fine gold, his
locks [are] bushy, [and] black as a raven.
Matthew {5:36} Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou
canst not make one hair white or black.
Quotes from Authorised version King James, the earliest english version translated out of original hebrew and aramaic script (old testament only).
A rhetorical question :
between Africans and Europeans and Asians, whose face and skin can be blackened as a result of grief or strife or sorrow and anguish or extreme hunger and malnutrition, or sometimes is black naturally, just like that ?
Africans.
No European or Asian can be black.
