I found an account of Haile Selassie's diet written by his personal cook who served H.I.M for many years.

I sight no man of earth higher or greater than another, but all are level and of equal importance in the eyes of God.

Chicken is a creeping fowl, therefore unclean, and never included in traditional hebrew meals or sacrifices.

AUTHORISED VERSION : 1611 King James Bible

LEVITICUS:
{11:20} All fowls that creep,
going upon [all] four, [shall be] an abomination unto you.

definition of fowl (dictionary.com):

any bird

definition of creep (dictionary.com)

move slowly with the body close to the ground

Chicken have four toes upon each of their two feet, a total of eight toes; therefore they have four pairs of toes:
they do creep, and go upon all four all their lives.

They are abomination upon a dish of meat, to the hebrews.

Neither are they used in sacrifice, because they are unclean.

"Chicken have four toes upon each of their two feet, a total of eight toes; therefore they have four pairs of toes:

your logic is too much man, but...

Wait!?...I thought it was 2 legs plus 2 wings is 2+2=4, but now I'm confused because it's 2 feet plus four toes each for a total of eight toes, now that's 4+4=8, but I thought they had to creep on all fours, and strangely, this time you've left out the 2 wings (remember, they flap those for the extra speed boost!!! that's another +2, for a grand total of 10. So, now that Chickens creep slowly (have you ever tried to catch a chicken?)...on all 10's are they okay to eat!? lololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're just talking about insects, get over it! Furthermore, His Majesty can eat all the bugs he wants and it wouldn't change my feelings at all.

But here, let yer Christian peeps persuade you, note that in every translatin after the KJV they dropped the word fowl and just stuck to insect:

https://www.studylight.org/bible/kjv/leviticus/11-20.html

http://www.brandplucked.webs.com/lev1120fowlscreep.htm

And like I said, read the chapter, not just the verse:

King James Version
Leviticus 11:21

Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

Now wait a minute!!!! legs above the feet!? that can leap?! Thank you Jesus, it's okay to eat a Chicken!!!

or is it??.....hit with some more of your math!!! LOLOLOL

Are wings legs?
And since when were insects considered birds(fowls)?

I will just post the whole text here and let you read and understand by yourself.

Even though four feet has been used in the scripture in regard to fowls to signify two wings and two legs ; four pairs of toes is simply my addition: in the scripture, regarding fowls (birds), four feet means two wings and two legs, and my first explanation was very correct.

Leviticus (K.J.V)

{11:13} And these [are they which ye] shall have in
abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they
[are] an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the
ospray, {11:14} And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
{11:15} Every raven after his kind; {11:16} And the owl,
and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his
kind, {11:17} And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the
great owl, {11:18} And the swan, and the pelican, and the
gier eagle, {11:19} And the stork, the heron after her kind,
and the lapwing, and the bat.
{11:20} ALL FOWLS THAT CREEP,
GOING UPON [ALL] FOUR, [SHALL BE] AN ABOMINATION UNTO YOU.

{Yet in regards to insects four has been used to mean pairs of legs, inclusive of the wings, which are considered another pair of legs.}

continuation...

{11:21} Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing
that goeth upon [all] four, which have legs above their feet,
to leap withal upon the earth; {11:22} [Even] these of them
ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust
after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the
grasshopper after his kind.

{Back to fowls with "four feet"}

cont...

{11:23} But all [other] flying
creeping things, which have four feet, [shall be] an
abomination unto you. {11:24} And for these ye shall be
unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be
unclean until the even. {11:25} And whosoever beareth
[ought] of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be
unclean until the even.

{other beasts}

{11:26} [The carcases] of every
beast which divideth the hoof, and [is] not clovenfooted, nor
cheweth the cud, [are] unclean unto you: every one that
toucheth them shall be unclean. {11:27} And whatsoever
goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on
[all] four, those [are] unclean unto you: whoso toucheth
their carcase shall be unclean until the even. {11:28} And
he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes,
and be unclean until the even: they [are] unclean unto you.

And indeed, yesterday I saw a chicken creeping upon the earth, and I chased it, to see how it would flee.

In all truth, it fled, going upon all four [feet] !

In fact, verses 23 to 25 are not speaking about fowls. A correction here.

They still expound upon other insects, with the exception of locusts and beetles.

The instruction concerning fowls ended at the statement of 11:20.

They that follow thereafter, flying creeping things, are just insects with four pairs of legs, inclusive of their wings, which are one of the pairs.

The chicken fled, going upon all four (2 legs and two wings).

Before I chased it, it was just creeping upon the earth. When I meditated upon the issue, and decided to chase it and see its manner of going.

Chicken are creeping fowls, therefore are unclean. Does one not ask oneself why, when Yah'uh gave instructions to Israel concerning burnt sacrifices of offerings of fowls (Leviticus 1:14-17), he instructed for turtledoves or young pigeons, and never chicken ?

Thus the common fowls consumed were pigeons and turtledoves. These do not creep or go on all four [feet -legs and wings], but shortly go about the earth, perch up in high places and tall trees, and take off in flight, soaring the skies.
