this is important topic for I and I people Rasta.
I overs the skepticism of conventional medicine as it Is more a profit maker not a people healer motivation thing dem !! As made obvious by the Obama care scandal FORCING ALL citizens to BUY health "insurance" under the laws of man regardless of circumstances.
Family I and I health is of I and I greatest wealth.
"They" can keep us suffering and less power full w them chemical food and air etc.. then ransom our health maybe forward for $.
That is why I and I Need more Bredren and Sistren Rasta on the inside, keeping studies and research, educating I and I on wrong from right uses of the wests stuffs. I actually know some! Give thankhs.

I Had 2 wisdom teeth removed after some deliberation and meditation.
I did not take the antibiotics. Rinse the mouth frequently for a few days
after w a heavy sea salt and water solution to keep infection out.
Dont smoke or suck on anyting aswell untill healed.

There IS a place for "western medicine".
I and I must not fall prey to overzealous doctors and dentists who may spend ten mins w d I and push a scrip or suggest unnecessary procedures.
USA dr.s are judged in the industry by how long them take w each "patient test tube" and how many scrips they write. This determines to some extent their professional status, monetary compensation and perks (like caribbean cruises, bonuses etc...) from drug companies who visit them regularly to push their products. Most of which come from resources and ideas originally used by d Indigenous, stolen tweaked and synthesized to make more profitable.

Jah give IandI Family the wisdom to be Reasonable and realistic.
A big difference exists between stubborn and conviction.
As shared in I last post in alkaline diet thread, IMan have made a choice to visit some western dr.s for diagnosis purposes and considered what they said w I and I own unique perspective. If its the only choice Rasta weigh d options and choose life whateva it takes.

I would go as far as saying there are just AS many money hungry profiteering opportunistic people involved in western medicine as there is in so called natural medicines and healing. The difference is most people are already aware and on the look for such things within western medicine. Most people do not think the same kind of people work in the natural medicine sector - and give their trust to all kind of wolf in healer clothing. Just know dat.

I remember not so long ago - a brother with paranoid psychotic schizophrenia coming on here and asking for help. The best we could do was tell him to stop his meds which he admitted controlled his symptoms despite 1 or 2 side effects....... Told him disregard the meds all together fix his diet and he should be 'iight' - and people actually believe a positive thing. That deh bredda legit probably twice as worse, and an increased risk to himself or others

At the end of the day, nobody was born a doctor or natural healer. In other words, research and stop being so reliant on being fed all your information. In addition to learning to decipher loose information from unverified sources as opposed to accreditted well researched and balanced info. Its not that deep, people too often treat science/medicine like religion

The concept of homeopathic medicine is to treat like with like. If you have a headache for example, they would take a substance, either herbal, animal parts, minerals (including things like lead and mercury), or some other source that would in normal concentrations cause a headache.

They then dilute the substance with water or alcohol, they dilute it several times and in between each dilution they knock the container on a leather bound book a few times(because it causes the container to bounce). They keep on diluting it until there is none of the substance left, or only trace amounts. They claim that when they knock it on the book, some energy transfers to the liquid, and the body recognizes the energy and develops immunity to the headache or other issue.

It is taken as a liquid or a pill made of some type of sugar. A drop of the liquid is placed on each sugar pill and allowed to evaporate before packaged.

They suggest not to take any mint products around the time of taking the water, alcohol or the sugar pill because it makes the remedies ineffective. Companies sell toothpaste without mint and label them as good with homeopathic remedies.

I live in Canada, there has been government health insurance here since the 1960s. Everybody pays for it through taxes but I don't see it as a scandal at all. It is a comfort to have the knowledge that if I or I family needs a hospital, I will not have to worry about paying for it, even if it is an expensive procedure or somebody is there for months or even years.

It is crazy to I that people would see it as a negative thing. If a person never uses it, the amount they pay per year towards it is not significant, it is just a small portion of the taxes. But if they or their family need it for either an extended period of time or expensive procedure, it has a very great significance and could be the difference between stability and bankruptcy, or between life and death.

Private insurance companies are well known to work their hardest to not pay for anything if they can find an excuse not to pay for it. With the government insurance, that worry doesn't exist.

The United States is one of the only advanced industrialized countries that does not have a public health care system. The U.S. "Health care" shitstem is an international scandal, having some of the highest health care costs (becuase everything is privatized) and has achieved some of the worst outcomes in terms of healthcare.

In the U.S., you could be poisoned by drinking lead contaminated water and then the government will turn around and make the poisoned people pay for it, like the people in Flint, Michigan where many children (primarily Black) have been lead poisoned due to corrosive lead in pipes and the privitization of the city's public water supply that switched the city water source to a river contaminated by auto-manufacturing. Why people are lead poisoned in the year 2016 in a supposedly advanced country is completely outrageous to I. This is something one would think of happening during the Medieval ages, not the space age.

I currently have health insurance but only because I bought it through my university shitstem and it only lasts while I am enrolled in the university.

Only the rich (white) Americans are supposed to have good health care, and Obama's attempt at making some limited steps towards public health care have been met with great resistance.

What kind of so-called "civilization" is this that denies a human being affordable health care for the majority that do not belong to the privileged few? Ahhh yes, the same one that stuffs it's elders in nursing homes, the same that provides little or no quality education for its youth.

Yes, it is agreed by InI that there are times when we must rely on babylon. But she is still GUILTY as charged for crimes against humanity.

I also neva stated Ones should blindly trust any sorta DR. natural or not.I have stated support for both kinds of medicine when genuine.

The Canada system MAKE SENSE to I, but is referred to as socialist
or communist by the US Politrix & media.There is a very negative feeling by many mericans about canada that I do NOT share. I visited Windsor as a youth and noticed the people were much more friendly & healthier, compared to across the tunnel in Detroit. I saw warning labels on things like bad food and alcohol, cigs etc.. that are not warnings but instead promotions in US.
Does the I sight any difference between the two care Programs?

Ini & I Queen were born in Michigan. Have not lived there in a long time tho.

This area is downpressed and hurting many ways. These experience have taught I to question what is put forth.

A few years ago i was choosing to pay for the private "health insurance".
It cost Ini roughly $250 a month. I always had to fight to get things covered that were supposed to be included in coverage Like the wisdom teeth thing. W d onset of Obama care I refused participation initially partly out of rebellion bcos Ini dont like any "you must buy this", and bcos living the lifestyle Ini RastafarI people live up there is no need to itinually visit dem kinda folks frequently. ITAL Livity is Ini preferred "health insurance". Resulting in significantly less fees per year if paying cash. Clinging to the idea of Independence and freedom. Paying cash used to be a reduced fee costing significantly less each year becos of the limited services Ini require. When one has "insurance" the same service fee is sometimes 10 times more. Expounding the Conundrum & Raising our payments. Dr.s in our ghetto area drive around in lotus and cadillac cars just like d priests and ministers.What motivates these actions? Desire to help the people or greed? I think Dr.s should live a comfortable life and be well compensated but only to a reasonable degree and not off the blood and sufferation of d people, come on.

Filing income tax return w out proof of obama care inrollement brings a financial penalty fee increasing each consecutive year like punishment.
So pay fe nothing or pay fe some "insurance".
Ini am now enrolled in a joint policy w i Queen Womban costing us significantly more w the same fight required each time service is rendered to get it paid for. Companies employ all kinds of tactics to sneak out of their obligations. Thank JAH I dont require it often.
