This is horrible, but I guess not that surprising considering this is a state where the Confederate flag (Symbol of White Supremacy) still flies in State government. Not to long ago a black man (Walter Scott) was killed by a white cop for running away from a routine traffic stop here too.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A white man opened fire during a prayer meeting inside a historic black church in downtown Charleston on Wednesday night, killing nine people, including the pastor, in an assault that authorities described as a hate crime.

The shooter remained at large Thursday morning and police released photographs from surveillance video of a suspect and a possible getaway vehicle.

Police Chief Greg Mullen said he could not offer a make and model on the dark colored sedan because investigators were not certain about what is shown in the video.

The victims of the shooting were six females and three males, Mullen said Thursday morning. He did not give other details about the victims.

Mullen said he believed the attack at the Emanuel AME Church was a hate crime. The suspect was described as a white man in his early 20s.

‘‘This is a very dangerous individual,’’ Mullen said during a 6 a.m. news conference.

‘‘We want to identify this individual and arrest him before he hurts anyone else,’’ the chief said.

Mullen said the scene at the church was chaotic when police arrived, and the officers thought they had the suspect tracked with a police dog, but he got away.

‘‘We will put all effort, we will put all resources and we will put all of our energy into finding this individual who committed this crime tonight,’’ he said.

The FBI will aid the investigation, Mullen told a news conference that was attended by FBI Special Agent in Charge David A. Thomas.

Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley called the shooting ‘‘the most unspeakable and heartbreaking tragedy.’’

‘‘The only reason that someone could walk into a church and shoot people praying is out of hate,’’ Riley said. ‘‘It is the most dastardly act that one could possibly imagine, and we will bring that person to justice. ... This is one hateful person.’’

State House Minority leader Todd Rutherford told The Associated Press that the church’s pastor, state Sen. Clementa Pinckney, was among those killed.

Pinckney 41, was a married father of two who was elected to the state house at age 23, making him the youngest member of the House at the time.

‘‘He never had anything bad to say about anybody, even when I thought he should,’’ Rutherford, D-Columbia, said. ‘‘He was always out doing work either for his parishioners or his constituents. He touched everybody.’’

The attack came two months after the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man, Walter Scott, by a white police officer in neighboring North Charleston that sparked major protests and highlighted racial tensions in the area. The officer has been charged with murder, and the shooting prompted South Carolina lawmakers to push through a bill helping all police agencies in the state get body cameras. Pinckney was a sponsor of that bill.

In a statement, Gov. Nikki Haley asked South Carolinians to pray for the victims and their families and decried violence at religious institutions.

‘‘We'll never understand what motivates anyone to enter one of our places of worship and take the life of another,’’ Haley said.

Soon after Wednesday night’s shooting, a group of pastors huddled together praying in a circle across the street.

Community organizer Christopher Cason said he felt certain the shootings were racially motivated.

‘‘I am very tired of people telling me that I don’t have the right to be angry,’’ Cason said. ‘‘I am very angry right now.’’

Even before Scott’s shooting in April, Cason said he had been part of a group meeting with police and local leaders to try to shore up relations.

The Emanuel AME church is a historic African-American church that traces its roots to 1816, when several churches split from Charleston’s Methodist Episcopal church.

One of its founders, Denmark Vesey, tried to organize a slave revolt in 1822. He was caught, and white landowners had his church burned in revenge. Parishioners worshipped underground until after the Civil War.

A quote from a sister on the White terrorism:

"You fall on your knees, bow your head and pray for freedom and liberation.
Now stand up, raise your head, knuckle up and use your God given power to TAKE IT."

A horrible and tragic event, media is jumping all over it.. So much political agenda with these happenings. Already calling for gun control for whites and stirring up racial division for thier wanted civil war. The narrative will be crafted to add fuel to the racist war engineered to unfold this summer. It will also be used to push more draconian gun legislation in Congress, likely at the behest of the Obama administration.

It has emerged that the suspected shooter who killed nine people in a Charleston, S.C. church last night was recently arrested twice on a drug charge and a trespassing charge.

Researchers familiar with the patterns of high profile shootings in the US will immediately be asking if 21 year old Dylann Storm Roof was a user of SSRI drugs which have been linked to many cases of mass murder and suicides.

The system operates on a problem, reaction, solution foundation.. Create the problem, incite their desired reaction, sweep in with their 'solution'.... They desperately want a war between the races, mass division and chaos. Then, and only then, will the populous be broken enough for them to take full control. Total spectrum dominance.. I see it like this: The Native Americans fought soux vs iroquios vs apache vs blackfoot ect; all the while trying to fight the common enemy of the white invaders. If the Natives could have realised that fighting against each other was EXACTLY what the enemy wanted, and subsequently united efforts to fend off the invaders, the white man would have had no chance.. Yet we see that this obviously did not happen. They did not unite and were decimated... The system NEEDS the races to stay as separate as possible. They NEED a new civil war so that we kill ourselves off.. This problem is systemic. They give mentally unstable people psychotropic drugs that make the person much more unstable to the point of lashing out in violent fashions. Once the person commits this act -- creating the needed problem while being coerced by elements within government -- the system uses the media to incite a desired reaction -- race driven civil war -- and then comes in with their 'solution' -- nation-wide martial law and full spectrum dominance -- Hitler took the guns, Stalin took the guns, Mao Tse Tung took the guns, Obama is trying to take the guns. This is a deep psychological operation to further their agenda -- control via chaos.. This is bigger than the scapegoat of racism, it is systemic. Just like blaming the problem of police brutality on a few racist cops instead of seeing that it is the industry standard to be brutal and demonic.. Problem, reaction, solution..

yeah. i think if you start to fear protests of blacks or hate white (police) men than you did exactly what they want from you. they know that the black race has to fight their way back from slavery. that interracial relations are difficult sometimes. especially in the u.s. so they mash it up again to increase hatery. who profits? politicians. they can increase their "secruity messures" with even more cameras and police men and people listen to politicians again. scare them, help them, control them.
