Because it was the only information at the time, + because at the time we were so close to the plantation brainwashing whe took place

But Garvey didn't business about his beliefs over his blackness......at least not moreso than PanAfricanism. That why he had members of different faiths included within the UNIA - Something most if not all Abrahamic groups today would never imagine.
