Today, christians observe the law of Jesus that say Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and give unto God what is God's. That is because that is the reaity of morden day civil culture. That is why they pay taxes to their respective governments.

Foolishness. Your God in his 600+ laws doesn't give any law AGAINST slavery instead he says you can beat and physically punish your slaves and the slaves must love their masters for this. And you put this down to just the sign of the times.... yet claim this is coming from GOD amwho should be above space and time and know when right is right and wrong is wrong.

No Book that speaks of slaves in this way can ever be written by a righteous hand. You are blind and a little psychopathic if you believe so in my opinion

Funny side note: Jesus said he didn't come to bring peace but he came to bring a sword. He also said those who live by the sword will die by the sword. And so had a fitting end to his life as according to the story....lol.

I don't want to emulate any man who is without Sin as Corinthians tells I. While Romans tell I NO man is righteous or deserving of glory. So if Jesus is without Sin but every other human being is with sin that makes his likeness unattainable

If the Bible is a book of hidden messages. Which can be interpreted for Good Or can equally be interpreted to perform wickedness.... then the message which each individual gains, must ALREADY pre exist within the individual. So then it must be asked what is the point of the Bible?

Again,. And to paraphrase...if I have to read the Bible with discernment. Knowing that "this" part has to be taken into context and all the other excuses ones give when faced with an overtly wicked statement; then I must be reading it already with a preconceived notion of right from wrong and righteousness from wickedness. Otherwise how would I use discern? So again... if I already have this, what would be the point of the text?
