I've wondering out about the purpose, meaning and effects of a chant. Could anyone throw up light unto this matter for me?

Blessed love

Word, sound and power Idren.

When I and I make a sound, that is a physical vibration in the air caused by the moving of I and I vocal chords and picked up by I and I ears.

So when I and I chant Ises or Nyahbinghi, it is bringing forth sound vibrations that have an effect in the physical, mental and Iritual. The more voices, the more powerful the vibrations.

I and I can even observe the physical effects of a chant on people. Just today, I was walking with some Idren in an area of I city called Sion Hill, and because the word sound is like Zion Hill, I Idren called out 'JAH!', and I and I chanted 'RastafarI!' three times with a loud voice. That sound gave I and I a boost, but if someone had been there badminding I and I, it would have been a terror to them to hear five Rastaman chanting Ises loud and clear in the street.

I'm far too tired right now to try and Reason the fullness, but there is power in words and sounds Idren and chanting them with a certain rythm and tone and volume only builds on that power, so chant and shout Ises whenever the I can.

Blessed love

John Ch. 1

---------------
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.

[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Istorically Chanting has been apart of Indigenous Man's culture.

2nd Chronicles 5 vs 12Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

13It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

14So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

Rev 5 vs 8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Psalm 66:1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

Psalm 81:1 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

Psalm 87 vs 7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

Psalm 98:6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

Psalm 101 vs 1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

These are only a few examples of Why I and I chant unto Yah

Everything we can see is shaped by l fields.

That is everything we can see has a blue print, the l fields.

The L fields are where the manifest comes from . Its the unmanifested blue print.

And T fields(thought fields) shape and influence the L fields...
So our body and everything comes from the unmanifested L fields and become manifested so we can see and feel them...

the T fields are influenced and shaped by T fields(Thought fields)

So our thoughts shapes the l fields and the l fields shapes everything !

This is from a previous Reasoning,

--------------------

Greetings,

All of I and I should Praise Jah for Jah is great. Praise Jah and give Thanks to Jah for every thing that Jah provides. Don't let even One Blessing pass you without giving Thanks and Praise to Jah. From large things to the very smallest things, Praise Jah for his goodness to I and I.

This will teach I and I to appreciLove what Jah do for I and I. Because the amount of time that I and I will Praise Jah, will show I and I all the things that Jah do for I and I.

Also, it will teach I and I to increase I and I Faith in Jah. Jah Greatness is Highest of High. The closer I and I are to Jah and obedient to Jah Guidance, the more Jah will show I and I His Greatness.

Also, I and I Thanks, Praise, and all other communication with Jah, will wake up I and I Eyes and Ears. I and I will have more and better communication with Jah.

It is the same as a child that is first learning to speak. The more the child communicates, the more familiar the child is with the Language of Man. So the child will better Iverstand when the child hears the Words. And the child will be better at speaking with the Language of Man.

So I and I as children of Jah, need to learn Jah Language, and Live for Jah. Praise Jah Itinually.

Psalm 145
1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

YES I
WORD SOUND AND POWER

The ancient tradition of chanting is rooted in mystical transcendence and physical healing. Chanting is an outward expression of the spirit, come to manifest Jah vitality, rhythm, and eventual balance into the material world. But how is this accomplished?

First it is important to note that everything, from sounds to rocks to human beings, exists as frequency. The atoms that make up all objects are constantly vibrating and producing a unique frequency (different atomic structures of elements). This can explain why we feel certain ways about certain things. INI intuition is something felt, not always perceived by the main senses.

As it turns out, the frequencies of music (or sounds) have a tremendous effect on our micro-surroundings, and furthermore, the atoms of our structure. Take the effect that music has on water molecules for example. According to studies done by a Japanese scientist named Masaru Emoto, music physically alters the structure of water molecules which he photographed using high-speed micro cameras.
--just to mention, humans are about 70% water-- Different types of music produced different looking water molecules (from ultra-complex symmetric designs to blotchy uneven clumps). Emoto hypothesizes that what are seen as positive or righteous sounds, images, and even thoughts, can physically and spiritually uplift the present world situation. Look into his work "Messages from Water."

So just based on these findings, I would say that the Rastaman's chantings are centralized around collective healing and spiritual enlightenment. It is a state of sublime flow from the Almighty I to the I, and from the I to the Most Hi.

Much Respect for the Reasoning on this site,
Iman Bo
