I recently watched the movie Terminator 2 and it got me thinking about the role technology plays in the world today. To I it seems the system wants to replace Jah with technology , Babylon wants man to put his "faith" in technology, Babylon controls the technology so also controls those that believe in it. I'm not saying tech is innately bad but if it is used by wicked people it is also wicked. We are enslaving ourselves to technology by our own free will and we don't even realise it. we are spoon fed Facebook and computer games from a early age so much so that we misout on experiencing life. the world of virtual reality is becoming our reality, they don't want us to educate ourselves so they distract us with the latest must have gadget, if we remain dumb and pre occupied we ask less questions and are easier to control. Rather than us marvelling at Jahs creations and putting worth in nature and the environment they want us to marvel at the latest invention, this way they can continue to destroy and rape the earth and we won't kick up to much of a fuss. They build bombs and weapons and tell us they are all powerfull, they believe if we fear them then we won't fear Jah, they put CCTV cameras everywhere they want us to believe they have the all seeing eye. I once heard a Bob Marley interview and he was speaking about how Ham, Shem, an Japheth each have different strengths he cited the white man has technology and the black man has spirituality, I don't know how true that is but it seems to I the western powers are always trying to control and tame and control earth and every living thing on it. Technology can be used to either advance mankind or destroy mankind. It depends how it is used. Selassie I did much to modernize Ethiopia, yet He also warned mankind about what would happen if technology is misused. Here is an excerpt from Selassie I's speech at the World Evangelical Congress in Berlin: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In these modern days, there are a multitude of things published in print and broadcast by radio which captivate the human mind and spirit; many new ideas are disseminated by the learned. Many wonderful appliances are produced to make life more and more comfortable. Yes I Selassie I taught that anything that is without God is doomed. To I this is the choice of the individual if ones want to condemn themselves then so be it, RasTafarI give man Free will. The problem is they don't just refuse Jah they are jelous of HIM so they use technology to confuse and deceive the people into believing they ( the system) is all powerfull and I'm not sure that the oppressed pleading ignorance will cut it with RasTafarI ! Truthful bro Eleazer. Technology can build n destroy. Black people were enslaved n colonised Through de use technology. I n I are able to reason about Rastafari livity yet we on diferent parts of de planet through it. We able to get de teachings of Selasie, Garvey, Rastafari Elders n other black prophets n activist through technology. It makes life easy yet complicated.
