Dawn of Aquarius

Isn’t it a new day though?
Exclaim it
Rip off the costume
Toss the mask like a Frisbee
Chopping off
Crazy baldheads
Like some liberation
By any means necessary
Video game
Revenge of the oppressed
Tare the old news
With sharp claws
And gritty teeth
Grimy like all black hoodies
Outside the hood
‘Til November
Home for the holidays
With a pocket full of
Survival
Ice cold
Like January morning in
Brooklyn
New York City
Hot like Alabama
Before the rains come
Electric like thunder
Reign supreme over the regime
Storm the capital
Put some chocolate in the city
Birth of a white lion
New being revolt
Black Nerds
White Trash
American Asians
And the Hispanic Delegation
If you see a Native
Point ‘em out
When the walls crumble
Carry out the
Milk and honey
Gold and money
Grab your torch and pitch fork
Say ye the townsfolk
Pay no mind to the zombies
Those who worship death deserve it
Leave life to the living things
Breathing, growing things
Loving things
Who seek peace
Comfort and joy
Those seeking to be
Godlike
Following the gods
And the goddesses
The Buddhas and Krishnas
Mohammeds and Yehovahs
Jesus the Jew
The Nazarenes
Sheba, NWT, Sophia
Gaia, Aphrodite, Isis
Mary of Magdala
The Magi
Watering the Tree of Life
Pruning the Tree of Knowledge
Worshiping the Sun
The Moon and Stars
The trees and flowers
The monkey and the turtle
The butterfly and the cricket
The dragon and the unicorn
Good morning God’s World
Thank you for existing
Again today
Praise the Gods and Ancestors
For raising the sun
Again today
Thank you for the rain
Thank you for the crops
The Creator is indeed Great
Again today

Whatever happened to beauty
A caterpillar eating a leaf
A bee pollinating a flower
A breeze swaying a tree
Today being after yesterday

I don’t want to live
In the World of Tomorrow
Where today is too late

I want to move in time
Letting time move me
In such a way as to
Always be on time
Or at least
In a timely fashion
Or fashionably late
Just in time for cake
I scream for justice
Good old American Just Us
Is turning my blood brown
Poisoned by democracy
On as sword
Pointing at a plank
On an abandoned ship
Chained together
On a railroad
Leading to nowhere
Under an abandoned sun

Sweat is your skin crying

Songs of oppression
Used to free damned souls
Heaven bound
Trapped in bodies
That just won’t die

Street gangs chained
To mental shackles
Forced to group together
In order to get one mind
Out of arrested development
And into self-determination
Trained into criminal mentality
By offices of correction inside
Institutes of miseducation
Teaching the value of
Not enough books for
Everyone to learn to read
At the same time
The story of victors
The heroism of victories
The inherent insufficiency of the victims
All in the name of Darwin
Freud
And all the other
Incorrect white men
Who once educated
An uneducated populous
Under false pretense
Without value for the participants
All in the name of science
Or the Pope
Or the dead body of Jesus
Based on a hypothesis
Surmised from a thesis
That has since been proven
Without reason
Or sound logic
Taught to worship instruction
To listen and ingest
Not to question
Not to react
To concentrate on directives
And regurgitate applied lies
In an orderly fashion
While destroying the confidence
Of their fellow peers
And assimilating into
The mass market approved
Ideal manufactured to represent
The current American Dream
Selling dreams in black and white
Or Technicolor upgrade
Multicultural, multiethnic
Metrosexual mainstream
Brought to you by
Coca-Cola
Fox
And the nice people
At your local center of oppression
In India
A gallon of water
Makes a liter of
Carbonated beverage
Poisoned with toxic waste
That you’re encouraged
To drink instead

Wal-Mart is the new town square
Or square town center
If you prefer technicalities
Prices so low
You won’t believe
How many people suffered
To take your small businesses away
And rob your city of tax revenues
While simultaneously
Raising crime
And lowering property values
And if you’re lucky
You might also discover
They’ve poisoned your environment
Through sheer neglect
And laziness
A complete failure
To care about anything
But the cost of
Profit
In an economy
Dividing asexually
Rich through exploitation
Poor by exploitation
Citizens and proletarians
Stock and market
Those who reproduce indiscriminately
In order to provide
Fodder for explorative battle
And those who
Genetically engineer offspring
In order to pass on wealth
To perfect specimens
Of world dominators
If you see a Hippy
Point ‘em out

Where have all the gypsies gone?
The nomadic scholars of the
Mystic arts of living life

The knowledge of Good
And Evil

Remember when good guys
Had to be wholesome
They had to have honor
Respect, manors
And principals

Never underestimate the power
Of the knowledge of good
To be right and just
To have karma that one welcomes
The ability to release negativity
As the karmic responsibility
Of its originator
And not its receiver

But
It is a new day
Isn’t it?

Shout it out
Like a mantra of liberty

Faced with a blatantly
Racist inquiry
Simply tilt your head
And retort it
Embrace the freedom of it
And walk away

Apology accepted
