The thing is,before the gun and other weapons of killing, almost every region in the world had its own form of self defense and hand to hand combat with weapons like swords and such, for eg, the men of the Ethiopian highlands used to be renowned for their skill on the horse and with the spear and sword. But for some reason, in china,they reached such an amazing level of sophistication of skill, i mean if you really check it,martial arts is nothing short of science, so i think it would be a shame if mankind didnt share and learn from eachother
