Concerning that things which happened in August 1975, you won't find these things written down into books. Not many people knew what happened, and those who did, had a hard life. It's not for everybody to know these things. It is given forward from mouth to mouth. Even today that the Derg is no longer ruling, these things are not open yet. We all know that they tried to fool the world audience, and we know they were able to fool many people. It's mystics and kept like a secret. But we all must know and overstand, our King liveth! And one day the whole world will see him.

Thats just it. I dont understand how anyone who knows of Mengistu and the Derg would believe that Mengistu had proof of Selassie`s "death" and chose to hide it
I remember once long ago, i was visiting a house of some family members and i happened to notice that they had a big bookshelf with lots of books dating from the Emperors time amongst ini, and ofcourse i was interested and started to look through them. There were books on Ethiopian and African history and i focused in on those. As i looked through them, i noticed something unusual. In some of the books, in the parts where they had pictures and illustrations, there seemed to be pages missing. So i asked what had happened. It was explained to i by the family that the pictures and photos missing were either of the Emperor or connected to HIM and that they had themselves torn out the pages since it was a dangerous thing to have anything to do with the Emperor in your house or place of business in that time.
This man tried everything he could to discredit the Character and Life of King Selassie I
Ark I, do you remember a post i made quite a while ago about a recent interview that Megistu made from Zimbabwe? when he was asked about the King?
I think those were the only words to come out of that mans mouth that i would be prepared to believe
If the I remember the post, plz remind i, id like to see it again

Former Ethiopian dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam, who is wanted in his homeland for genocide, has defended his 17-year rule in a rare interview.

Speaking from Zimbabwe where he is in exile, Mr Mengistu told the South African daily, The Star, that his regime had come to power by popular revolution.

The so-called genocide was a war in defence of the revolution
Mengistu Haile Mariam
Thousands of people were killed by Mr Mengistu's Dergue regime during the period now known as the Red Terror Campaign.

He told the newspaper that the Red Terror was merely a "fight between two different social groups," one of which was trying to overthrow his government.

"We had to organise people into urban defence units and rural defence committees and peasants' associations to defend the country," he said.

"The so-called genocide was this war in defence of the revolution".

Denies killing Haile Selassie

Mr Mengistu said the revolution had been necessary to replace the "very backward, archaic and feudalist system" of Emperor Haile Selassie, who was overthrown in 1974.

He denied having ordered the death of Haile Selassie, saying: "He was 80 years old and a very weak man. We tried our best to save him but we could not keep him."

He said his socialist revolution had helped millions of poor peasants who had struggled under imperial rule.

He blamed former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev for the collapse of the Dergue, which had previously received military and financial support from Moscow.

The present Ethiopian Government comprised "narrow nationalists and counter-revolutionaries," he said, who had "no legal or moral ground to judge the Ethiopian revolution."

Ongoing trials

Mr Mengistu aroused interest among South Africans earlier this month when he arrived in Johannesburg for medical treatment.

The Ethiopian authorities requested his extradition from South Africa, but the former dictator returned to Zimbabwe before the extradition proceedings began.

Zimbabwe has turned already turned down several requests to extradite him.

Several people associated with the Dergue regime are being tried in Ethiopia for crimes against humanity.

Reports from Ethiopia say a former police officer who served under Mr Mengistu was jailed on Tuesday for 15 years, as part of ongoing trials of those alleged to have participated in the "Red Terror".

The Federal High Court in Addis Ababa on Monday found Colonel Zeleke Zerihun guilty of genocide and other charges, notably "recommending the execution of five individuals", the government Ethiopian Herald daily reported.

Zeleke is the fifth person to have been sentenced for his part in the "Red Terror".

Earlier this month two senior officers from Mr Mengistu's regime were sentenced to death in their absence.

Many a-time Rastas in Zim along with human rights groups have demonstrated in front of parliament to have Mengistu extradited, but these protests have been crushed. A few years ago Mengistu, his family and extended family recieved diplomatic passports because the govt said they were guests of the Zim govt. He recieves Zim state protection with armed forces guarding his home and state funded escorts. The Attorney General has repeatedly denied the atrocities suffered under Mengistu. However Mengistu is quite ill at the moment so that means his end is nigh, the wicked shall fall, and the righteous hafi rise.
Bless.

Here it is

Taken from the book: Talk of the Devil: Encounters with seven dictators

Mengistu HaileMariam
So how did (H.I.M) he die?
Mengistu dismisses the question with a shrug,..
"He died a natural death, as far as i know........The doctor looking after him told me nothing about any deterioration in his health, so there was no way i could personally ascertain what happened."

Greetings...

Ras Power, I'm sure the I meant Immortality (not immorality)right?

I was questioning the I's post though. Is there anything that the I knows for fact and fundamental truth, that the I has not experienced directly through the I's senses. We know Jah created everything because we are here to bear witness to it, it is not through faith at all, I live in the universe I know it exists and so I know that Jah(the creative force) made it, no question. One might believe that His Majesty vanished into thin air, but do we take it for fact?

Facts

these are the only facts that matter to I

King Selassie I is JAH who made the heavens and the earth .
Death cannot touch the Almighty JAH who holds life and death in the palm of His hands
INI saw HIM walk amongst INI for a time. INI cannot see HIM anymore, atleast not with the eyes of this world.

What is the point of I wondering if He vanished, disappeared, rose up into the sky.reh reh reh .....i leave that for the doubters
Simple thing for the Almighty to call down His Igels and set fire to this corrupted world and show the world HIMSELF in all HIS glory.....but He never came for that....and i for one wont ask it of HIM
I am ever satisfied with I Father
