Just wanted to let you know that I have just completed a book on the bahetawi monks of Ethiopia. It looks at their origins, their role throughout Ethiopian history and their connections to Rastafari. To see this picture of H.I.M as a bahetawi monk was no surprise but rather perfect timing. It makes lots of sense that he is alive and well. He has become the Ancient of Days. I would like to share my research with anyone interested.

I would be interested in hearing about the I's knowledge of the Bahetawi and their relation to RasTafarI.

However, the photo the I is referring to of HIM as a bahetawi monk is is a fabrication. Read this reasoning:

I am interested to know why you think the photo is a fabrication. It appears to have been taken by the Ethiopian Ministry of Tourism and I am not sure how it could be altered. I lived in Ethiopia for a year and travelled the country extensively, I saw bahetawi and what struck me the most about the photo was that having looked at pictures of H.I.M for years and become familiar with the bahetawi, my first reaction was 'sellassie Is a bahetawi now'. It was a matter of natural face, body and image recognition. At this stage, we cant be for sure but when you know about the bahetawi, then this whole idea is a very real possibility.
The mystery is unfolding.

Well, the subject matter is deep and very exciting. I would argue that the bahetawi are a missing link the study of ancient civilizations, Ethiopia, the Nile Valley, religion, shamanism and Rastafari. There is plenty to talk about. When the bahetawi are placed in the context as a fundamental aspect of the church, Ethiopian culture and spirituality, a profound story emerges. I should have my book on-line very soon, just working on the website now.
When I saw the picture of H.I.M as a bahetawi monk my heart started to race because based on what I have come up with in my research, this is exactly how he was suppose to live out the rest of his life and the revelation of Rastafari continues.
