Help needed for Sistren in Shashamane
My name is Empress Rasia, My king man is Ras Jah Terms.
I am writing you on behalf of an elder sistren of mine Sis Bev. who resides in Shashemene Ethiopia. I have had the good fortune of traveling to Ethiopia on two occasions. On my second trip I was introduced to this Sistren, and was welcomed into her gates with her 11 year old daughter, and her 20 year old Autistic son. Since then I have kept in touch with her via Email, and about a week ago I received a very disturbing Email from her. She has lost vision in her right eye, and is having severe pain on that side of her head also. She has been able to see a specialist who told her that it has something to do with her retina I believe. She requested some financial strength to assist her in either traveling back and forth from Shash to Addis, or to stay in Addis until her treatment is over. Sis Bev. makes a living grinding and selling her own spices, but this has been on hold for the past month due to her present condition. This is a strong single mother who has already battled cancer and won. If you could post this, or see if anyone would be willing to lend some strength to her cause it would be much Apriciloved. I am an unemployed full time student living on just enough for my family. I plan on sending her 100 dollars out of my financial aid this month, but whatever anyone else can donate would be blessed. I have attached a photo of me (on the left with lime green on) and her (on the far right with glasses on) from the last time I saw her in Ethiopia April 2005.
