2nd Chronicles 14:8 And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.
9 And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand,(one million) and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.
10 Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee.
12 So the LORD SMOTE THE ETHIOPIANS before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians FLED.
13 And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: AND THE ETHIOPIANS WERE OVERTHROWN, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they (Israel) carried away very much spoil.

IF the Ethiopoans are so dear to God, and even more so than Israel, why did the Lord support the Army of Israel and SMITE the Ethiopians?

When the angel of Yah spoke to the apostle, Philip saying:

"Arise go toward the south."

Verse 27: "...And he arose and went: and behold, a man of ETHIOPIA an eunuch of great authority... who had come to Jerusalem for to WORSHIP."

In verse 29, The Spirit tells Phillip to go and JOIN HIMSELF TO THE CHARIOT OF THIS ETHIOPIAN.

Verse 30, tells us that Philip heard him reading SCRIPTURE (Hebrew Scripture) about Yahshua, (erroneously called Jesus) which he didn't understand.

In verses 34-36, Philip explains the meaning of the scripture and then preaches Yahshua to him,

and in verse 38, Phillip baptizes him.

Lets analyze these verses.

First, this Ethiopian was coming to Jerusalem to worship. In those days only the Hebrews came to Jerusalem for worship, because this is where the Temple of Yah stood, making Jerusalem the spiritual home of all Hebrews (2nd Chronicles.6:6 - 7:16).

Hebrews continued to come to Jerusalem to worship, up until the time of the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70 C.E. As a matter of fact, Many Hebrews were worshipping at the temple while the Romans were breaking down the walls of Jerusalem about to lay seige to it.

Second, this Ethiopian had Hebrew scriptures in his possession. In those days the scriptures were still considered sacred, and remained in the possession of the Hebrews, not everyone had access to scripture, as we do today. Hebrews, whether abroad or in the land, were the primary owners of scripture in those days.

Third, the Ethiopian was baptized by Phililp.

All these facts prove that this Ethiopian was a Hebrew, according to what Peter said in Acts 10:28:

"You know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Hebrew TO KEEP COMPANY OR COME UNTO ONE OF ANOTHER NATION."

If the Hebrews thought it was unlawful to keep company with those of another nation, why would Philip go and keep company with this Ethiopian, if indeed he was from a entirely different nation? Philip didn't even try to argue with the spirit, when he was told to go and teach this Ethiopian. The reason for that is:

The Ethiopian was a Hebrew who lived in Ethiopia. Making him what we know as a Ethiopian Hebrew.

As stated previously, it is a known fact that the Ethiopians are a black-skinned people. The name Ethiopian comes from the Greek word Aethiops which means burnt face. This was a title the ancient Greeks gave to the people who lived south of Egypt because they were closer to the equator than the Egyptians. Their hue on an average was a little darker than the Egyptians. This Hebrew was not called Ethiopian just because he lived in Ethiopian, but because he also looked like a black-skinned Ethiopian. To this very day, there are many black-skinned Hebrews who live or have lived in Ethiopia in the past. Today many of them are known as the "Falasha" or Beta Yisrael.

First of all we need to understand something. There is a DIFFERENCE between the Falasha Jews (False Jews, Ethiopian converts to the laws of God) And Israelites that live IN Ethiopia. Those are 2 different nations of people. 1 people are the REAL people of God, and one people are phonies that try to act like they are the people of God. Out of those 2 people Jesus Christ only came for the Israelites, that is why he gave this commandment to his disciples.

Matthews 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans (Ethiopian Converts) enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Jesus Christ told his disciples not to go to the Samaritans (Ethiopian converts), those people were Ethiopians who took on Israelite Customs and lived in Samaria. THe Modern Day Falasha's.

2nd Kings 17:24 And the king of Assyria brought men from BABYLON, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and THEY possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.

The Babylonians are Ethiopians.

Genesis 10:6 And the sons of Ham; CUSH (Ethiopian), and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
Genesis 10:7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
Genesis 10:8 And Cush (The Ethiopian) begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
Genesis 10:9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
Genesis 10:10 And the beginning of his kingdom was BABEL,

The word Babylon comes from Babel, which mean confusion. babylon means land of Confusion. Nyrod was an Ethiopian who set up the Kingdom of Babylon therefore a babylonian would be one of Nymrods people which are Ethiopians. This was a Kingdom that he set up away from Africa. To prove that Cush is the Ethiopians....

Phut- 3rd son of Ham(Genesis 10:6; 1 Chron 1:8); descendants lived in Arfica between Ethiopia (Cush)"..... (The Zondervan Compact Bible Dictionary pg 458)

Now getting Back to second kings.

So Ethiopians were living in Samaria instead of the ISraelites because they were taken out by the King of Assyria, when you read on it says this.

2nd Kings 17:25 And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD (This means they didnt keep the commandments ): therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them. (As a punishment for living so wickedly in there)

2nd Kings 17:26 Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.
2nd Kings 17:27 Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests (Israelite from th tribe of LEVI) whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, AND LET HIM TEACH THEM THE MANNER OF THE GOD OF THE LAND.

The Ethiopans had NO KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, and they had to be TAUGHT how to keep the commandments by the ISRAELITES, that is where these Falasha Jews come into play. The Are not the real Hebrews, they are a bunch of Africans that try to follow the hebrew customs, but they dont even keep them all like the scripture will tell you.

2nd Kings 17:28 Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.
2nd Kings 17:29 Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.

The point that I wanted everyone to understand is that the Samaritans are Ethiopian converts. NOW....

Matthews 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

The Disciples were not going to the people of the other Nations, there orders are to go to the Israelites only. Jesus Christ told them not to go to Samaria because those people were gentiles also. There were israelites living among them, but they could not identify who they were UNTIL they recieved the Holy Spirit.

NOW, Who was this Ethiopian Eunuch?

Isaiah 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

This prophecy in Isaiah 11 states that there will be a remnant of Israelites LIVING IN ETHIOPIA among the Ethiopians.

Acts 2:5 "And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven."

This scripture in acts tells you CLEARLY that there were Israelites living in ALL NATIONS at that time. Now in this same chapter, the Apostle have now recieved the Holy Spirit to identify who is who.

The Apostles were told by Jesus Christ to WAIT IN JERUSALEM UNTIL THEY RECIEVED THE HOLY SPIRIT (The Complete understanding of the bible brought by angels).

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they (The Apostles) were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

At this point the Apostles had the Holy Spirit and could now speak all languages. They now had the ability to teach the Israelites that were living in the other nations.

Acts 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Acts 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

I said all of this for this reason.... In acts the 8th chapter Phillip is now in Samaria and an angel tells him to go to a certain area, then he encounters this Israelite Eunuch in Ethiopia. AND WHAT MADE PHILLIP GO TO HIM???

Acts 8:27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
Acts 8:28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
Acts 8:29 Then THE SPIRIT said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

The reason why Phillip did that is because the Spirit told him to do it. That is how he knew the man was an Israelite, therefore he wasn't breaking the orders of Matthew 10:5-6, he was still teaching the Israelites.
