Take a look at Babylon's imperial clowns who supposedly represent "freedom".

Here's a small window through which to view a more realistic picture of Venezuela.

US imperialism is a grotesque manifestation of the Babylon wickedness against which we struggle. What's being done to Venezuela by the bloody eagle is a throw back to the most racist colonial times in our history.

HOPE VS. HOPELESSNESS
When I moved to Nicaragua for a year in 2001, it was ruled by an overtly-corrupt, right-wing millionaire U.S. puppet named Arnoldo Aleman. Many of the people I got to know in Matagalpa called him “El Chancho” (The Pig) in reference to his appearance and blatantly greedy behavior.

If you’ve ever seen people who sense utter hopelessness in their lives you won’t forget what their eyes look like. People without hope are shells of people, hollowed out by despair. Most of the dirt poor campesinos and slum dwellers in Matagalpa had that appearance. It was shocking and extremely disconcerting. Even though I had been to a lot of poverty stricken places in the world, I had never seen such hopelessness in the faces of so many people before.

When I returned to Nicaragua for the first time in about five years in 2010, I saw that the hopelessness was gone. The Sandinistas had won the presidency and a definitive majority in the National Assembly, and all kinds of exciting initiatives to help the Nicaraguan people were underway. Initiatives in public works infrastructure, education, health care, agricultural land reform, jobs training and economic development. People were animated and excited about the future. They finally had a government that was working for the majority of Nicaraguans (including the poorest) and actually using public revenue to do things to help them. Most of all, there were poor people actually serving in important roles in the government and in positions of political leadership.

When I watch this 8-minutes video report about Venezuela (link below), I can see that same positive energy in Venezuelan Chavistas. They had the same situation under their long history of U.S. puppet regimes that Nicaraguans did – living generation after generation in dire poverty with no hope of reform or any fairer wealth distribution. You can see in this video report people who are excited about fighting for a government that represents them and actually focuses its attentions on the plight of ordinary Venezuelans (instead of just serving to preserve the power of the wealthy few). You can also see why they would willingly fight to the death to preserve their representative government from being toppled by U.S. imperialism and turned back into the 'good ole days' of “everything for the uber-wealthy 1%”.

The old Venezuelan welder and volunteer militia member Ronny Gutierrez featured beginning about 4 minutes into the video reminds me so much of the older generation of Sandinistas I knew in Matagalpa who would rather die than return to the old days of hopelessness under rule by the few U.S.-sponsored wealthy families for the few U.S.-sponsored wealthy families.

As I watch events continue to unfold in Venezuela, I pray that the deterrent effect of Russian and Chinese advisors in Caracas will be sufficient to protect the Venezuelan people from continued U.S. imperial attacks and check the bloody machinations of neocon hawks in Washington DC.

The Venezuelan people are neither stupid nor naive. They know who is turning off their electricity and have vowed unity among both pro- and anti-Maduro constituencies to fight the external threat to all of them of Yankee imperial intervention in their nation's affairs. That's right, even the vast majority of those Venezuelans who WANT to see different leadership in their country DO NOT support outside interference by Washington DC to undercut their nation's government and bring more problems to them via economic warfare (e.g., sanctions) and/or military intervention. I

After all, I can't think of ONE SINGLE PERSON among the MULTITUDE of Americans I know who despise Donald Trump, who wants Beijing or Moscow to appoint Nancy Pelosi as interim U.S. president and then threaten an invasion of the USA to make sure that Trump is removed from office.

Oh sure, right, these are people just clamoring to be "rescued" from the clutches of a "brutal dictator" by the Trump-Pence-Bolton-Pompeo-Abrams DEATH MACHINE. Not!

US puppet Juan Guaido calls for a protest march to support him and a couple hundred upper class suburbanites show up (before heading on to their evening dinner reservations) along with a few CIA (or NED)-paid agitators with guns.

The Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV) calls for a march to show solidarity with the constitutional government of Venezuela and the elected president, and hundreds of thousands take to the streets clad in red to demonstrate the reality of public opinion and obliterate the Western corporate press's propaganda lies.

Truth is still seeping out everywhere despite the desperate efforts of America the Babylon and its presstitute media to convince the people of the world of the lies that Venezuelans live under an economic failure of their own making and a "brutal dictatorship". Venezuelans know the truth so there's no use trying to dupe them, but Babylon continues (in its denial) to believe that most people in the world still trust its lies. Babylon's mistaken, deluded by its own hubris. Friends and acquaintances I've spoken to from Asia to Africa, the Caribbean to Central and South America, and Europe to the U.S. see the truth and recognize this is another prefabricated propaganda show based upon pure lies and yet another play by the Falling Empire for control of OIL and other natural resources .

Columbia University Professor of Economics Jeffery Sachs states:

“Venezuela’s economic crisis is routinely blamed all on Venezuela, but it is much more than that. American sanctions are deliberately aiming to wreck Venezuela’s economy and thereby lead to regime change.”

=========================================================================================================================================

EXCERPTS from the Center for Economic Policy & Research Report: "Economic Sanctions as Collective Punishment: The Case of Venezuela"(April 2019):

"We find that the [unilateral U.S.] sanctions have inflicted, and continue to inflict, very serious harm to human life and health, including an estimated more than 40,000 deaths from 2017–2018; and that these sanctions would fit the definition of collective punishment of the civilian population as described in both the Geneva and Hague international conventions, to which the US is a signatory. They are also illegal under international law and treaties which the US has signed, and would appear to violate US law as well."

"[Due to the sanctions] more than 300,000 people [are] estimated to be at risk because of lack of access to medicines or treatment. This includes an estimated 80,000 people with HIV who have not had anti-retroviral treatment since 2017, 16,000 people who need dialysis, 16,000 people with cancer, and 4 million with diabetes and hypertension (many of whom cannot obtain insulin or cardiovascular medicine). These numbers by themselves virtually guarantee that the current sanctions, which are much more severe than those implemented before this year, are a death sentence for tens of thousands of Venezuelans. This is especially true if the projected 67 percent drop in oil revenue materializes in 2019."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, the devil's minions come threatening to inflict war & death on Venezuelans because of their extreme "concern" for their health & welfare. They create human suffering and then demand that THEY be allowed to bring "humanitarian aid". Typical Orwellian Babylon ruses.
