I've heard arguments from "white Rastas should be killed" to "white Rastas should be accepted and treated the same" so where is the white mans place in rastafari?

If that were so, whites would have been done dead.

Simple as that.

So you are saying that's whites should be accepted into rastafari?

It is a black movement, based on Afrikan traditions and spiritual systems, with a "black head creator". A movement born out of resistance to European supremacy.

There are white people of good will who enjoy InI culture. We have not killed any of them. However, when you enter another man's house, you must enter humbly and with respect and never forget that it is not your house.

It is an African house. And must remain so. Even in extending love to all humanity.

Yes but if love is extended to all humanity wouldn't everyone be treated as equals with no superior or inferior as HIM wanted

And this is part of the issue with non-Africans coming into a Black Movement. The desire to dilute the message of AFRICAN UNITY against EUROPEAN OPPRESSION, to make it more...palatable, more comfortable for whites.

"That until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned: That until there are no longer first-class and second class citizens of any nation; That until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race; That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained; And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes that hold our brothers in Angola, in Mozambique and in South Africa in subhuman bondage have been toppled and destroyed; Until bigotry and prejudice and malicious and inhuman self-interest have been replaced by understanding and tolerance and good-will; Until all Africans stand and speak as free beings, equal in the eyes of all men, as they are in the eyes of Heaven; Until that day, the African continent will not know peace. We Africans will fight, if necessary, and we know that we shall win, as we are confident in the victory of good over evil."

Exactly what I'm saying. There should be no superior or inferior race but unfortunately some Rastas think it's ok to say that white people aren't allowed to be rasta. In my opinion they are taking Immanuel's word to seriously.

You are missing the point.

UNTIL THAT DAY... UNTIL THAT DAY!

Europeans are responsible for white supremacy, racism and aggression again African and melanated peoples. We Africans are still living under that RACIST system.

THAT DAY HAS NOT COME.

Let us NOT "hippify" this movement. We are not flower children swaying singing "kumbaya"

Seen?

I'm sure there are some white movements, created by and for whites, that are dedicated to eradicate racism, and do not have to worry about fitting in, or trying to change a traditions to suit their guilt or European/Christian sensibilities.

Why come into a BLACK movement created out of RESISTANCE to white supremacy and try to WHITEWASH IT?

No.

InI will not, and cannot allow that.

UNTIL THAT DAY.

NO JUSTICE. NO PEACE.

InI are so sick and tired of being questioned and judged by Europeans who try to whitewash RasTafari. It's an old and tiresome game/trick. Tired if stroking white guilt. Tired of having to justify this being an Afrikan movement. Tired of whites trying to rearrange it.

We do not hate anyone and history will prove that. From an Afrikan perspective and a Rasta one.

We have and will continue to extend love towards the brotherhood of mankind. As we have always done.

But don't get it twisted. We are a black movement. Do not confuse Black Love with white hatred.

Why not join.a white movement that extends love to all people, working diligently to bring forth equal rights and justice? They exist, don't they?

Why insist on an Afrikan movement?

WHY?

Can any white Rastas PLEASE answer that question????
