Dem wha translate the Yoruba bible found NO word for satan/devil in Yoruba language so they took a word for an Orisha "ESHU" and use it for satan/devil but the word has nothing to do with devil, maybe that what happened with the Shona bible

French scientist found that ancient (3500-600 BCE) Egyptians were largely VEGETARIANS with little fish in their diets from 45 specimens tested in a 2014 study

Thank I RastaGoddess, your story is quite accurate, pero it is not true that the Greeks had never seen locks, Medusa was an individual, she carried the Gorgan mask and could turn men to stone with her gaze, that was her individual characteristics.

Love

Additional perspectives from the Original Peoples on earth:

The Rainbow Serpent (Australia)

The Rainbow Serpent is the protector of the land, its people, and the source of all life. However, the Rainbow Serpent can also be a destructive force if it is not properly respected.

"The belief in the Rainbow Snake, a personification of fertility, increase (richness in propagation of plants and animals) and rain, is common throughout Australia...As the regenerative and reproductive power in nature and human beings, it is the main character in the region's major rituals."

The snake is an important and widespread African symbol of water and rainbow deities. The serpent is linked to Mami Wata with the rainbow deity complex among the Mina, Ewe, Aja, Fon, Yoruba, and Igbo in West Africa

Ouroboros, Symbol of Infinity

The serpent in the symbol represents the cycle of life and death that the Universe maintains. The snake eating its own tail simply represents the recreation of life through death by the Universe. It is interpreted as some kind of a rebirth of the dead reaching an immortality of sorts. This is why it is considered that the infinity symbol might have been derived from the original symbol of ouroboros.

In Zimbabwe, there was Nyami nyami,a huge serpent and a water Goddess...

She was responsible for the flourishing of the lake Kariba providing food and water.

However, she disappeared when westerners built a dam wall separating her from her husband

isnt this australian concept connected to the african "ashanti"?

even the sumerian had a legend about a snake that has stolen the immortality of their god.

the negativity of snakes was widely spread and has not just begun with the bible
