I guess this is a two part question.
First, I'm 22 and my hair is thinning, so as someone who wants to be a Rastafarian, am I still aloud to grow dreads? I had started my dreads but had so much chemicals in my hair and thought I'd shave my hair and start over natural like a rasta would. Any thoughts?

Don't "want to be" RasTafarI, be it, live it, walk it, talk it. Who would allow or disallow you to wear your hair how you like? Don't worry so much about appearance brother, focus on livity.

^^ TRUTH. RastafarI is not in ones hair. RastafarI is in ones heart and livity, seen?

If the I wants to grow dreadlocks I do not see a reason to cut the I hair first and start over. For the whole point of growing locks in I opinion is to let ones hair grow naturally and leave it as it is without interrupting InI natural look. It's more than just style I hope the I knows that...

And then, there is also the Nazarite vow (Numbers 6).Where one takes a vow not to cut ones hair...

I don't know for wich particular reason the I wants to grow locks, wich is certainly something to Iditate on before making that decision.Just to know WHY the I wants to do this and if the reason is right...

True advice Idren path walker.Dreadlocks don't make one RastafarI.But InI appearance can sometimes be an Iritual thing too.Like demonstrating our revolutionary Irit to the world by the way InI look outwardly.Meaning InI are free people and Babylon can't tame InI.

RASTAFARI

I cut I Hair because I had put so many chemicals in I Hair to try and dread it. I have not trimmed or cut I beard nor any other Hair on I body. I seem to have been taught that appearance is more important and I happiness

Seen Idren JAH Love, I overstand wanting to "start fresh". Yes I, just grow the hair however Iman want to grow it, as JAH Irit lead the I. I&I know an Idren who has one big congo dread down the man's whole back and legs, and a bald top. If this is how the I hair ends up, and Iman feel Irie like that, then everything is great. Or, if the I wanna do something to make it look some other way, also great. I agree that avoidance of chemicals, however, is optimal. Give thanks for that Inlightenment.
Yes I, the Kings have had good input as well. Bless up I&I.
More love.

As I think about it why not go for a real nice haircut before dreads, may be your last and all. Jokes

JAH bless and guide you

The point is IF you need to use chemicals and such to force your hair into dread then why dread? This would be unnatural. Who are you trying to look like?

Maybe just let it grow and done
