JAH - Burn JC and Burn bible

To honor your parents does not mean to follow the same religion as them. To honor your parents means to regard them with high respect. One can trod RastafarI and still honor their Christian parents, especially when both the child and parent honor Jah. That is what that commandment is about; honor your parents who honor Jah. If your parents try and make you go against Jah, then one is not suppose to honor/obey their parents.

Jesus and Haile Selassie both honor Jah, so the followers of H.I.M. are not breaking the honor your parents who honor Jah commandment, even when the parents may not sight Haile Selassie as Jah or Christ; for Haile Selassie is one who honors both Jah and Christ.

I think if you are saying �burn Jesus Christ and burn the Bible� while saying you follow RastafarI, then you are effectively saying that His Majesty is an important symbolic figurehead for you but that you ascribe little or no value to His Teachings. This would appear to be the case when we consider that following Christ�s teachings and seeking to emulate Christ�s life were clearly core principles of Haile Selassie's own teachings.

I'm not sure that's necessarily the real intent of �burn Jesus Christ and burn the Bible� which may really be more of an indictment of Christian religion institutions and their way of presenting Christianity - more along the lines of "burn" institutional Christian religion. H.I.M. clearly articulated a reverence for Jesus Christ, so it would be hard to say that you hold His Majesty's wisdom in much esteem while simultaneously denouncing Christ .
