JAH - Burn JC and Burn bible

Hola Seshat, regarding this story of creation... weren't there at least 5 different creation cosmologies of Ancient Kemet? My knowledge on Kemet isn't what it used to be....

Anyway for me, my research indicates that the spiritual systems of Ancient Kemet were very much based on parables, allegory, and divine reflections. Meaning they were not intended to necessarily be taken literally but figuratively. For example I don't believe they thought there were literally people or God's walking around with animal heads but they represented the divine element of different aspects of nature.

With this I have no problem with any of their creation story. Or with Genesis I.

I main problem throughout this whole thread (although it IS a general bible bashing) is that of LITERALISM and fundamentalism. Those who believe the Bible is the unquestionable unshakeable WORD of God which is of literal historical truth and cannot contain any wrong. Which is how the Bible was introduced to me as a child in school. And still perpetuated by some, even Rastafari people's today.

It is to my estimation that the bringer of mischief and confusion are the Council of Nicea and other people's who have put together the works of the Bible and told people it is literal or historical truth and it refers to the plight of the reader's people.

Whether or not one subscribes to the Bible and it teachings, we are Taught and exhorted by His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I to follow the example of Christ and the values that Christ's life embodied:

I follow the example of I mother who isn't a Rastafari without any problem.
