Old man, old broom
Daily ritual, sweep the whole room
Shake the mats
Dust the corners
Feng Shui, all things in order
Keep it simple, open up a window
Let the light and the fresh breeze in the temple
Morning yoga, proper posture
Sun salutation, realign the chakras
Keep stretching, deep breaths
Release tension, release stress
Stay on purpose, maintain balance
Nobody’s perfect, the path is the practice
Good habits, zen focus
Remain present in each moment
The yoga mat, on the floor
It’s more than that, it’s a metaphor
A way of life
Amongst chores
Soldiers orders are in a war
A living chant, a growing plant
The craftwork of the Buddhist hands
The overcoming of circumstance
The everflowing eternal dance
A strong spirit, a free thought
An open mind, a loving heart
Approach others with compassion
A simple truth, wise actions
Stay humble, continue learning
It’s not the destination, it’s the journey
Welcome courage, stay grounded
See all sides, be well rounded
The yoga mat, on the floor
It’s more than that, it’s a metaphor
Don’t need a lot, just enough
Do more with less, get better results
Reasses, readjust
Embrace change, because things must
Its universal, in all circles
It resonates in all cultures
We have vice, we have virtue
Yin and yang, and vice versa
The seed that grows is the one you nurture
Each posture needs silent structure
The physical, the spiritual
The maintenance, the ritual
The meditation, the power mantra
The affirmation in the subconscious
The mastery of emotion
Like a dolphin, at one with the ocean
Ride the waves, let them pass
Don’t cling, be detached
The yoga mat, on the floor…
It’s more than that, it’s a metaphor

From the Song Above,
Blessed Love,
Warrior Dove

Blessed love I&I Rastafari.
There is so much beautiful truth in this thread, I have to give many thanks for all who have shared.
Blessed Empress, Sister, I am impressed by the Iwombman's testimony on childbirth. When the time comes, I hope to be blessed with such a testimony.
Yes, yoga is a livity of Inity, not a physical practice of breathing and stretching (although yoga includes that). What a precious gift our Creator has given us in this practice of Iditation.

Yoga is sometimes lumped together with Transcendental Meditation. Most who practice TM do so through emptying the mind, chanting a mantra, and going deep within the self. To I this is not necessarily yoga unless the One practicing is aware of the Inity of Self with All that Is. Otherwise, the depths of self become a blank and lonely place, and who wants to MEditate on that? Iwombman prefer Iditation and Inity with JAHJAH.

Bless up Rasta! Trod on in full joy and Inlightement.

Jah Child, it was 'active birth yoga' I did prenataly, that and positive visualisation and other natural ways, and it worked. If you are interested in spiritual childbirth look up Ina May Gaskin. I didnt follow her at the time but she has an empowering perspective. Why should women see pregnancy and birth to be a medical problem, it not, its far more profound. Have no fear.
