Isn't "Yahshua" the Hebrew name for "Jesus"?
----------------

No, Jesus (pronounced Yesus), is the Greek name for Yeshua. And Jesus (pronounced gee-zuz), is the English version of the Greek version.
Yeshua is the original name.

The reason RasTafarI speak against the gee-zuz version is because that word came to the Africans and many others in the form of slavery and downpression. Word Sound Power means that words carry energy, and Jesus is a word that carried so much negative energy because of those that used it. If Jesus was the original name I and I would reclaim it, but since Yeshua is the original I and I prefer to use that. some RasTafarI use the name Yesus because that is how Ethiopians say it.

" Even His name, it would seem, became a part of this understanding. The name Jesus or Jesus Christ is often used in everything from idle conversation, to bumper stickers and jewelry, to enforcing false teachings, to justifying wars and political agendas, and is even used as a profanity. The name Yeshua however, has remained pure and holy, known and used only by those who would uphold His name and teachings in the highest regard and thus reserving His holy name for use only in spiritual matters and the most humbled and sincere of prayer and obeisances."
