Elohimras, You must be confused! How could you say Reggae is not holy music? .....but Nyahbinghi, that is holy? Confusion! Seems that you are interested in Nyahbinghi music and you dislike Reggae, right? And that you are trying to create a battle between your music and Reggae.....in which you envisage Reggae fading away and your music taking over.....hahaha! Reggae is like the rod, which Moses used to lead God's chosen people home! So Sizzla Kalonji is leading you and me back to Africa using Reggae as that rod, seen? And what is it that is contained in Nyahbinghi that makes it holy, which can not be contained also in Reggae making it unholy? Harry Bone, You said Reggae is of this world......and that Rasta love nothing of this world, What do you mean Reggae is of this world? Just because Sizzla is an earthly man, so you think whatever he produces must also be earthly? Confusion! If Nyahbinghi music is produced by earthly people yet you regard it as holy and spiritual, can't you reason that by the same judgement Reggae can also be both holy and spiritual....if not to a greater extend than your music! Reggae uses the Heart beat patten with the drums witch you will find in Nyabingi Music , the Do good patten, the driving force through out the music , that conects with every one because everyone has a heart beat, so ifyoulook into it Reggae and Nyabingi really are quite simular, Spirtual MUsic , Musical healing!

Rastafari That's true! Reggae is similar to Nyahbinghi in the sense that they both share the same purposes and effects! And I think the reason why Selassie-I might not have listened to Reggae, is because during His time(1930s) Jamaica had not developed its Reggae music industry, seen? Not because He disliked Reggae, so He couldn't listen to it....no! And I can foresee Nyahbinghi fading away, and Reggae taking over as a better replacement of all ancient music! More fire!

Jah people, why fuss over music? Both music are inpirational. As far as I know Iyabinghi music is for ises. During binghi gatherings like de hola dates rastas chant nyahbinghi (binghi music not reggea). What usualy hepens ina mi area during binghi gatherings is dat once its ises iwa any sound system (whether its reggea) is switched off. De whole night is iyabinghi chants only. So I don't think binghi music will be replaced by reggea. In entateinment reggea is de music and I don't think it will also be replaced by binghi music. These two types of music are to serv diferent purposes not to compete or replace each other. I and I here use both music. Binghi music fo ises (prayer) and reggea fo inpirational entateinment. In binghi music we all take part (singing and playing drums during gatherings) while in reggea we usualy listen to an artist when relaxin at home. Peace!
