I Iverstand the I point about the partying in a dancehall, but when RasTafarI Idrens and Istren chant music, whether Reggae or something else, it is Jah RasTafarI Vibes that they are chanting.
So many Teachings have come to Ones and Ones through Music made by RasTafarI People. And when a Person makes music with Jah Vibes, the music makes more than just sounds and words, it brings up the Irits of those that hear it, especially those that Trod in Irits.
Nyahbinghi chanting is important for all of I and I, and it can't be replaced. That doesn't mean that all other forms of music are in opposition to I and I. Haile Selassie I showed His appreciaLove for music, and He didn't limit it to only one kind of music. And even without showing the example of Haile Selassie I, I and I should Iverstand how integral music is and was throughout I and I history, and music had many diffent forms and varieties. Some music promotes wickedness, but there are many many songs throughout I and I present and history that are not wickedness.
I just saw something today about one of the members of Run DMC who was about to make a decision to commit suicide, and heard a Sarah McLachlan song that changed his mind, and then he bought all of her albums to help him move from that.
