Greetings Joe, I&I dont sight fish or honey as Ital but this 2nd recipe could be adapted. I sometimes have a protein smoothie as a boost or before exercise and in it I have 2 spoons of hemp protein (100% hemp), 2 of ground almonds, 1 banana, a spoon of coconut, some almond or soya milk and if I want it sweeter a dash of agave nectar. As with all smoothies it can be altered to taste / what is available.

I would agree JahChild, when thinking on what to eat next is always good to take a moment to meditate on what the next family has not got. I see a lot of food banks collecting this and that from the public, I wonder if it would be more helpful to provide large sacks of rice and lentils along with recipe sheets so that a family can live simple but healthy in their time of need. Also the occasional fast can disengage from the feeling of of being drawn to food in a sensory way.

Give thanks for sustainance, physical and spiritual.

Dear All,

My mom cooked something for me yesterday that I swear took me the full way to spiritual zion. (Well, no it's not a psychedelic, but you know what I mean, it was so good it took me to a place of sublime pleasure that was previously unreached.

Barleyotto (Barley Risotto)

Chop 2 leeks
4 cloves of Garlic
Water
Italian style seasoning (dried herbs consisting of oregano, basil, red peppers, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, sage, parsley.
Black pepper
Paprika

Add to a large pan and put the ingridients above in an oven on a low heat (no 3/4) for about 1 1/2 hours.

After 1 hour of letting it boil, put some barley in a pan and boil for 30 minutes. This will mean it is ready when the pan in the oven has been boiling for 1 1/2 hours.

Add the barley, including the barley water, into the pot in the oven.

Next, fry as many mushrooms as you would like (we really went for this and did 3 pan fulls) on a high heat in olive oil. Put them in the pot.

Let the pot marinate for at least an hour; (the next day is even better).

Enjoy!

-------------------------------------------

It was SO good. It took me to a level of pleasure that I had previously not reached! You've got to try this, if you have taste buds similar to me.

I know you're not meant to have emotional attatchment to food and such, but this is an exception for me.

All the best,

Joe

Some good recipes on this site. I tend not to follow recipes to the tee but rather get inspiration from them.

All the best,

Joe

yes. ital an vegan is the way to go. for everybody. to protect yourself and keep your system going. there might not be the perfect diet but those two factors are really important. i strongly suggest it!

my personal diet includes many things. it might seem a little bit complex but it's easy to get used to because it's all about natural food and purity.

vegan food (no meat (including chicken and fish of course), no dairy, no eggs...)
no alcohol of course (including grapes and vinegar...)
ital food (everything salty isn't allowed)
not much sugar (especially white sugar)
low carb
enough roughage
enough proteins
omega 3 fat (the right oil)
a bride variety of food
a certain structure when it comes to my food (a good breakfest to boost metabolism, just some fruits for dinner)
no nuts (i'm careful because of my peanut allergy, i think everybody should get a feeling for the food that's keeps one going)
the right amount of calories
local sources
fair trade
fruit and salat from the eco-market
natural products (no dangerous chemicals)
personally i drink no coffee because i think it's fascinating that it's a thing no scientist can really tell you what it does to your organs
no coffein
no nicotine, no tobacco
no energy drinks (underrated consequences...heart problems)
no hard drugs of course
no weed of unknown heritage or spliffs from strangers
no unnecessary tablets
no juices which are full of chemicals, hormones and sugar
no tea which includes dangerous chemicals
enough fresh water (at least fresh water in a glass bottle without too much magnesium and sodium which is, like salt, not good for your blood pressure)
i don't eat bananas that often (too much calories)
i avoid to take use that many onions (also garlic and sprouts) because it's not good for your diggestion

i don't want to be a false preacher. i'm not saying that i've invented the perfect diet because it's hard to stay vegan and ital all the time but this is a diet i really try to maintain.

i'm also careful when it comes to weath products. toast and white bread just mush up your digestion.

also i've seen him live many times i never had the chance to thank the artist macka b. his song "mi nah waan noh big mack" was my reason to become a vegetarian when i was 16 and his song "wha me eat" had finally turned me completely into a follower of the ital and vegan diet.

but my diet is not just all about food. i'm just carefull about the things that i let into my body. sports, "fitness", to sleep right, meditation, prayers and even media competence are all part of my lifestyle too. it helps to take care of body and soul. there's just really so many things you have to avoid if you live in a system like ours. and it's still not perfect.

Ital food dat contain all de essential amino acids include soya beans, ganja seeds e.t.c. Other bean types, lentils & many legumes may not have enugh of all de essential amino acids but once they are eaten togeda with grains like rice, corn, whole wheat & oats all the essential amino acids are available in dat meal (balanced protein).

Dear All,

Up until now, I have ate a strict raw vegan Ital diet.

I pay particular attention to consuming a lot of nuts, cannabis seeds, since I know they are good, pulses, beans and grains since I know they are essential if one does not consume eggs etc.

However, recently I have had a few white spots on my nails, and this is whilst living, as I said, Ital paying attention to all of the seeds, beans, nuts etc.

I asked my mom about this, and she suggested eating some dairy.

-------------------------------------

I have never been too keen on dairy because when I eat it, it always feel as though I have toxins to expel afterwards.

But my thoughts are to buy a natural organic yogurt, and eat it as a very small part of my diet.

What are your thoughts on this?

All the best,

Joe

P.S - I have tried Soy milk (not the shop bought kind but stuff I make myself from the beans), almond milk etc. I eat spirulina, too.

But I can only conclude that I must need yogurt in small amounts.

Also, I am 17 so am going through a lot of growth and development now

All the best,

Joe

Dear Joe. How long have yu bn on strict raw vegan? Was de soya milk raw? One thing yu should know is dat not all plant food is vital fo human when raw. There some that are poisonus when raw & there are some dat got anti-nutrients when raw so once yu dicide to be on raw ital then yu must be very careful. Some plant food are more nutritious when cooked than when raw. Soya beans & many other beans are toxic when raw so yu need to cook dem to benefit from their nutrients without any side effect.
