Greetings Kings and Queens.
Ras Jesse, can Iman give some tips about sprouting grains and seeds?
Iwombman eat a lot of quinoa and some kamut, amaranth. I would like to try sprouting and eating those plants and others Iman suggests.
Also, I&I do not have the time or land for growing plants right now, but I&I mother has a small yard and I sometimes take seeds from I vegetables, and bring them there and just put them in the ground (I baby nieces also water the flowers and surrounding soil when I am not there). Is there anything that would make this low-effort "gardening" more effective Iyah? Maybe sprouting the seeds beforehand?
I&I know the I is knowledgeable in horticulture and nutrition. Give thanks for the advice Ras. More love.

Put them in a wet paper towel that is folded up with seeds inside it,
then put them in a warm dark spot. Drain excess water off, Keep paper towel wet them should sprout in 3-7 days depending on seed. Check Ivery day. It is ALWAYS better to sprout the seeds before planting that way the I know them are viable. I have tried both ways of putting in jar with water but Iman have always had more luck with paper towel instead although both ways are common, that is just what InI have had most luck with. Then put it in a seed starter tray, then harden them off and move to outside. With seeds sometimes it is better to put emery board in matchbox and shake the seed a little bit, to rough up the waxy coating so the water can penetrate better into the seed. This may take practice but it should make the process faster.

Be sure to check the seeds in the paper towel quickly as light can and will kill the tap-root.

Well I usually soaks nuts and seeds in pure water at least 8 hours , then rinse, then prepare in recipe or eat as is. If want to sprout them more can leave the seeds or grains( grains should be soaked 12 hours) leave then to sprout not soaked under water but just kept moist , spray and rinse them a few times a day. And they grow, sunflower seeds, pumpkin are great for sprouting, others are better to just soak and germenate......so this is eating living food
Ones can have green sunflower sprouts ,or just soaked sunflowers and other nuts and seeds make good recipe things too. Just about anything imaginable, raw food recipes can be found all over the internet.

Here one.

Soaked almond vegi dip......

Soaked almonds , lemon juice ,sea slat, herbs, spices.....bit of water, blend untill smooth....thus is also like hummus...serve with veggies bell peppers to dip

Quinoa can be soaked overnight....pour hot water, just under boiling hot like so you can put finger in water with out being burned, pour over the over the quinoa at night and in morning its ready to eat, this is a way to enjoy quinoa raw.

I enjoy sprouted kumat bread preapared like this....
I soak the kumat over night, at least 12 hours , then rinse and let sprout in open air put I must keep them wet but not soaked and they sprout, rinse few times a day prevent molding , keep clean, and grow their tail, the sprout till it is as bug as the grain itself, then I blend or food process the with rosemary, and se Sal, and take that dough and make flat on tray and pug in hot sun go cook and dry then flip and other side till dry a bit , can keep going till its a crust but I like it moist.....its good bread , can spread coconut oil like butter on it or dip bread in coconut oil or other oil if needs .

Peace and Love

To make low maintenance gardening more effective, plant native plants that adapt to the wild of your environment, plants that don't depend man, but just what earth and sky provides.
permaculture practices this. It means permanent culture.Rastafari

“ The greatest change we need to make is from consumption to production, even if on a small scale, in our own gardens. If only 10% of us do this, there is enough for everyone. Hence the futility of revolutionaries who have no gardens, who depend on the very system they attack, and who produce words and bullets, not food and shelter

every society that grows extensive lawns could produce all its food on the same area, using the same resources, and . . . world famine could be totally relieved if we devoted the same resources of lawn culture to food culture in poor areas. These facts are before us. Thus, we can look at lawns, like double garages and large guard dogs, [and Humvees and SUVs] as a badge of willful waste, conspicuous consumption, and lack of care for the earth or its people.

Most lawns are purely cosmetic in function. Thus, affluent societies have, all unnoticed, developed an agriculture which produces a polluted waste product, in the presence of famine and erosion elsewhere, and the threat of water shortages at home.

The lawn has become the curse of modern town landscapes as sugar cane is the curse of the lowland coastal tropics, and cattle the curse of the semi-arid and arid rangelands.

It is past time to tax lawns (or any wasteful consumption), and to devote that tax to third world relief. I would suggest a tax of $5 per square metre for both public and private lawns, updated annually, until all but useful lawns are eliminated.

Stupidity is an attempt to iron out all differences, and not to use them or value them creatively.

Sitting at our back doorsteps, all we need to live a good life lies about us. Sun, wind, people, buildings, stones, sea, birds and plants surround us. Cooperation with all these things brings harmony, opposition to them brings disaster and chaos

Though the problems of the world are increasingly complex, the solutions remain embarrassingly simple

"Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted & thoughtful observation rather than protracted & thoughtless labour; of looking at plants & animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single-product system." Bill Mollison

Greetings beloved I's.
Iwombman tried the almonds. It was very easy for an admittedly intimidated beginner. And SO tasty.
I soaked raw almonds overnight in pure water in a glass jar, covered with a thin cloth and shut in the dark cupboard.
The next morning, I drained the almonds in a wire strainer, then poured into a bowl. I poured more water in the bowl and stirred around a bit, then strained again. I placed a damp, folder paper towel at the bottom of the jar and replaced the damp almonds in the jar. Forward into the cupboard w the cloth over.
I left them all day, then repeated the bowl rinsing and draining. I tried a few and they were a little crunchy but much softer than raw unsoaked almonds. I immediately thought that Iwombman will want to soak all almonds from now forward, they taste so much better (I already love almonds, this is even better).
I replaced in the jar again and forward in the cupboard again, overnight again. Repeated bowl rinse and drain.
The almonds tasted pretty much the same I thought, as the ones the previous evening.
Give thanks I Lion Jesse for the suggestion of almonds. I suggest the almonds as well for the I's who are hesitant to try sprouting or soaking Ital. This is an unintimidating and very rewarding start. Surely the almonds could be used for recipes or many things, but they are delicious and I was hungry, so I ate them in handfuls with strawberries.
It does use a bit of water. I always use pure spring water because the tap water in San Diego is chlorinated and contains fluoride, and who knows what else. But rinsing in the bowl definitely saves water.
Much love Kings and Queens.
Bless UP the Ital.

Soaked Almond "Pesto"

in food processor:
-handful of soaked almonds
-about two handfuls of fresh basil
-some onion (I used about 1/4 small red onion)
-4 or 5 cloves of garlic
-drizzle olive oil, not a lot
process until smooth...
I also added stems of kale leaves and some sprouted flax seeds for extra nutrition.

Eat on crackers, pasta, bread, spoon.

Bless up the Ital.

In America there is a Babylon law that says Almonds must be pasturized. So its hard to find truelly raw almonds that will sprout.
The labeled 'raw' almonds in stores are usually pasteurized thanks to the FDA.
Almonds are a hola food mentioned many times in hola bible.
