I-man am thinking that I would be able to use information coming from people on this site if I knew things like what they value, who they are, etc...

Now I am not saying I want to know like personal information (e.g. full names, addresses, none of that of course, y'all are in a respect strangers to I) but things like I said, what do you value? What does your Rasta livity consist of? Does any one here follow Boboshanti or Twelve Tribe of Israel or anything?

I'll talk a little about myself...
I discovered myself as Rasta when I was 14 years old. I became vegan a year after because I felt it would be a real dedication to InI as a Rasta. I am still vegan, and very happy and proud to be. I am very environmentalist, a bit of a socialist, I'm mixed race (Irish, Belgian and Mezo-American). I'm an artist and a musician, I use both to express I-self as Rasta and to spread I-faith. I live in Canada now in the great city of Toronto, which has a pretty big number of Rastas, most of whom are Jamaican.

I believe in a lot of Hindu things... reincarnation, for instance. My girlfriend is Guyanese and she's Hindu-Rasta and because of her spiritual orientation I have gotten very interested in Hinduism and have come to accept a lot of the principles, which are almost all very close to Rasta. I don't believe in going to Temple or anything though.

I meditate every day, I don't smoke much herb anymore, but I do enough. Pretty much, I love Rastafari. It has definately saved my life, physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally. It is the most beautiful force in the world. No doubt about it. Selassie is the Truth, InI Wisdom is living proof of this.

One love

Ras John

Greetings,

I am not at home, so I don't have that much time to write right now. I just wanted to say to the I, that I also live in Toronto. I and I can maybe make a link sometime. I and I will reason later.

Bless,

Greetings,

I man trod is RasTafarI and I see all RasTafarI as One, so I don't segregate I self into any different groups of RasTafarI, but all RasTafarI who are true is I family and I will trod and reason with them.

I first learned about RasTafarI through songs that I heard in high school, in Brockville, the radio stations broadcasted from two different universities from Ottowa at certain times of the week. It was in 1991, so I was 15 years old. When I heard what RasTafarI was speaking of, I could see that it was I trod, and much of the things they spoke of were already things that I saw before and agreed with. I started reading the Bible, and a learned a lot about I and I livity through the scripture. I also borrowed one book about RasTafarI from the library (they brought it in from another city through inter-library loan). It was "RasTafarI, A Way of Life", by Tracy Nicholas. Some things I read in that book, I agreed with, and other things I didn't. After meeting a learning from different true RasTafarI in person, I learned that what I saw was true, was true, and what I saw was false was false, or that certain things were representative of some people but not others.

But most of what I learned about RasTafarI while in High School was from the Bible and from songs. I had a few different CDs from Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Burning Spear, Culture and a few other artists. And the rest of the songs were from different artists broadcast on the radio. I didn't grow I locks at this time. I had many spiritual steps during this time, but I first physical step was to stop drinking alchohol, and instead use I and I Ganja Herb healing.

In 1995 I came to Toronto for university. The only reason I chose to come to Toronto was because I knew that I would find a lot of RasTafarI to learn from here. The first thing I looked for when I came was the Nyahbinghi house. The reason I decided to trod to the Nyahbinghi house was because of their strictness and Hot Fire, because I knew that I must come into RasTafarI in a strictness of livity. I started growing I locks and stopped eating flesh at this time. I decided to trod through the Fire in Nyahbinghi and grew much in I spirit and knowledge through those movements. I also came to know of Bobo later on in 1997 and I have also learned much from the Bobo. Both of these RasTafarI are One with I so I trod with them. I also trod with and have learned from other RasTafarI, whoever I sight that is One with I.

In I trod I would search for the strictest and highest RasTafarI, that had a lot to teach I about Jah True Livity and Spirit. I asked Jah for these RasTafarI, and when Jah bring I together with Them, I learned as much as I could from Them, seeking more and more wisdom and spiritual heights. I also accepted the Fire, and looked for more Fire from Them. I knew the Fire would cleanse I and make I One so I didn't refuse it, but I looked and seeked for it. Sometimes I would hold back from the Fire if it was too hot, but I tried hard to resist this tempation. I instead made I intention to trod deeper into the Fire to become Jah Fire.

I have read only a couple of other books written about RasTafarI people, but most of what I have learned is from the Bible, Selassie I words, Marcus words, and the RasTafarI people that I have met and reasoned with.

RasTafarI trod is I trod for Life, and I will never turn aside from Jah.

Jah RasTafarI Live,

Ark I

I man was born with catholics perents and still they are. I started to know about rasta in mid 80's just after bob passed away. I didn't know what was that untill early 90's when iread alex haley's Roots it did realy touch my heart to follow what are going with we africans. this is the time I found love in Rasta. I started to grow locks withi=out knowing what is it I learm more about it and start to call myself a rasta following dietary strictness but i was out of herb at first at this time i joined university where i met other handfull of concious youths we keep on meet be freinds reading rasta literature and listening to rasta and african misics. my greats where Mutabaruka and LKJ. Ras michael was with me as Bob Andy, steelpulse, wailing souls and many more.
No-one could know what was going on with me, to their surprise I graduated my university studies. And i'm still clinging to Jah-love all the way. I have seen how Poverty leads my other brothers out of the way of Jah, I'm reasoning it with big precaution not to happen to me.
My biggest reasoning at this time is repatriation, I'n'I will not be free untill we free africa's mind.
Living in Tanzania we as rastas face a great subjection as mad people for nor combing our hairs, speaking of Jah in selasie and many more sad stories but jah guides us we are still surviving.
