For those of you who have knowledge about the Twelve Tribes Rastafarian sect can you tell I the significance of the twelve months in relation to the twelve tribes of Isreal?

The only understanding that I have is that the month of July is represented by the tribe of Judah and that everyone born in that month is of the Tribe of Judah, hence my question about the birth of Jesus the Christ.

What about the other tribes...what are their months?

I know that HIM was born in July what about his son and his grandson

Peace.
Jah Rastafari.

I have seen the month/tribe information and it contradicts explanations of the twelve tribes outlined by another group

They align the twelve tribes with ethnic groups such as Reuben being native amerikkkan, judah being negro, benjamin being hispanic, etc. scientifically it makes more sense to me than birth month in that I've experienced babies being born early to save the life of the mother, thus changing the month of birth

I don't honestly know which is correct

Hi

I don't represent TTOI in any way as I am not a member currently. However, I do relate much to their teachings.

As I understand things, the months and tribes are ways for scattered Israelites whom have lost their detailed ancestry, to identify themselves with a specific tribe. Gentiles may also be grafted into the olive tree, which I believe to be the redeemed Israel, through Yahshua the Messiah a.k.a Jesus the Christ (see for example Rom.11 & Eph.2). Therefore can also former gentiles identify themselves with Israel, and through the months with specific tribes spiritually.
I myself believe this but since I believe in the Bible also, I ask you to carefully weigh these teachings since they are not mentioned clearly in this way in the Bible.

If I remember correctly, Reuben is the firstborn and the year of the calender of old started around the month we today often call April. Judah is the fourth son. April (Reuben) -> May (Simeon) -> June (Levi) -> July (Judah). Since, according to my belief, both Yahshua and Selassie knew their actual bloodline, the tribe of Judah, to identify with another tribe spiritually may not be necessary in their cases, eventhough Selassie was born in July.

A while ago I read something which I found interesting:

"The elected Matthias made up the full number of 12 apostles. This would be a short-lived symbol, but it was an important one.
It seems Jesus deliberately chose 12 disciples as a symbol of all Israel with its 12 tribes.
What he was starting was a movement that lived by the vision of the kingdom promised to all Israel and the world.
The 12 marked the community out as the group that lived from this vision.
Had they not asked: “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?’?"

Blessings.

One very interesting thing for I is the theological significance of the number 13.
At any given time it Jesus had 12 apostles, with himself included it makes a group of 13. In the Ethiopian calendar there are 13 months, and in total there were 13 apostles. Israel and his 12 sons also make 13. I am sure if the Idren choose to dwell on this concept I and I can establish more connections to this number.
It is also very interesting that this is the most feared number.
