Spirituality of itself is good , but, can be underutilised and overutilised to the point where one is lost. I have met in my travels men who are so engulf in spiritual reasoning which in primary setting is useful but lack a greater realism. We have to be careful as we go about and offer ourselves to faith and reason that we not get lost in teachings which lack an eternal purpose. There are men of tribes and tougues who are very spiritual, live religiously and are meek and kind , but, still cannot put together the meaning behind what they are doing and what it is toward.
Infact, many a theologan will tell you this is a problem with Rasta theology, it is good in basic, but, in development toward greater plan for mankind it lacks substance systematically. I nuh think Rasta wrong in most of teachings, but, I would love to see greater ties developed between Christian and Rasta cause is same teaching. The difficulty with papacy can be found in the wider Christian Church and even the Catholics are revising their teachings to better suit the times we now live in.
My argument is that spirituality should be defined and have an eternal purpose. Few religions have created an eternal standard with beginning and end than the christian religion. Christianity is very structured and the teachings of Yeshua Kristos is followed up in purpose by his disciples/followers toward defining the end of time and the Judgement of our Lord and God.
Without doubt spiritual living that is engineered by teachings and words of wisdom found in sacred scriptures are usually followed by prophetic words. Revelation is the most sacred of prophetic books, this is what makes Christianity unique, cause the end times is identified and spoken of as a time of divine retribution of our Lord and King.
i nuh know , but, while I like spirituality as found in the tribes of North and South America, or other religions Hindu, Muslim testament to spiritual reasoning, they do not go far enough in creating a stable race of peoples. Too much disunity and negative outlook on other peoples contribution to humanity. Its like the conversion process is rife and if yuh nuh want to be converted you are lost. As for Christian its more based on the belief in the man Christ and his fundamental teachings.
Ras KebreAB I like where you stand still, we need to be tolerant of each other and be prepared to learn more from each other. We living in a new century with new teachings and while sacred text exist , God could well reveal himself in different ways as we move on through space and time.
