Greetings warriors.

Do the I's know why Lucifer is considered to be satan/devil?

Lucifer is mentioned once in the Bible. And unlike satan or the devil, wich represents darkness and sin,Lucifer means light bringer.

Much confusion on this thing too...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luciferianism

So what's true?

I Iverstand that it may be percieved so becoz it sais he is fallen and satan is a fallen angel. But why was the word wich means bringer of light have to be used...Why not the usual word like satan,devil,tempter...

Maybe just another case of editing?

Lucifer Is NOT Satan! Lucifer comes from Latin and is actually TWO words not a name.
Lux (lucis) Ferre is d basis for Lucifer. Lux Ferre is d Latin translation of d Hebrew "helel ben shahar" son of d dawn, shinning one, a term for Venus in d early sky but fall once d sun rises. Lucifer being satan is a Christian interpretation cuz it's say it fell from heaven but no mention of a devil in d Torah, like Ifa, no devil in Yoruba cosmology!

Blessed to all,

yes i , its a babylon propaganda , if InI observe d bible specially genesis , its a sin have knowledge , dem want InI to eliminate InI intelligence so InI can be brainwashed , the facts is with clear mind that genesis God seems to be d true devil and d snake d god , if InI observe in all ancient culture d snake or dragon was worshipped as one of the gods ,yes I voodoo lucifer means the light bearer, light symbolizes consciousness .

this is why christian want InI to be a sheep ( brainwashed, blind or unconsciouss ppl)simply following without thinking , InI is a Lion ,a leader and not a follower and InI eat all dem sheep :)

greetings Rastafari bredrins and sistrens, give thanks for this reasoning for the i has come accross it before and would be glad to shed some light on it. Lucifer means coming to the light indeed. the reason being that when we commit sins mostly we do it when no one is looking thus the analogy that your in darkness. But as soon as the sinner is found out of his/her sins, they are said to come to light because everyone now knows of their sin. Lucifer means that your sins will come to light and everyone will find out thus the. phrase "hes been brought to light and we know wht he/she was doing" Lucifer is still a term for the devil
Richie spice - dont trust no shadows after dark.
I hope i have fully explained properly but still lookin forward to more reasoning on it.

Give thanks for the wisdom Iyas.

ConsciousRas,Lucifer actually means bringer of light, bearer of light. So if Lucifer brings to light the sins that are done in the dark as the I sais,it only means that he is not satan or evil.

For the devil keeps people in the darkness and doesn't want them to repent or the veil to be removed according to scripture right. And Lucifer is quite the opposite according to what the I stated also. How does the song about not to trust shadows of the dark relate to light bringer or exposer of sins...?More confusion.

Where does the bible mention lucifer?

To the best of my overstanding any mention of the underworld is referring to them copying the greek mythology of Hades and Tartarus (bible fanatics dont like to admit):

Sheol is found in the Bible sixty-five times. It is translated “the pit” three times, “the grave” thirty-one times, and “hell” thirty-one times. Hades is used eleven times, being rendered “hell” ten times and “grave” once. Adding to the confusion is that two other words are also translated hell in the New Testament. These are Tartarus, which is found once and Gehenna, which is used twelve times.

God in the sky. The devil (hades) as lord of the underworld punishing souls which have been bad. ALL greek mythology. Remember the bible was written in hellenistic times. I personally prefer Anubis to Hades......but as a Rasta, man seek salvation and judgement while Living.

Only once in the whole bible is Lucifer mentioned:

Isaiah 14

[12] How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

If it is satan/devil,then why would the name be changed one time to lightbringer..?
It just donsn't make sense...

It says Morning Star or Shining One. So Light bringer makes sense / falls into that category...

Lucifer is only mentioned in 4-5 versions of the Bible including the KJV i assume you cited.

Now the question should be, why does he share the same Title as Jesus? I thought Jesus was the 'Bright and Morning Star' (Revelation 22:16)
