As I come into my livity as A Rasta,most of which has been on my own. I now have an Idren in I life I would like to say is I Kingman. For some reason we get into serious debates because he's been in the faith alot longer than I, he can at times Come across as if I am nothing without his Guidance. I being an independent sistren find this hard to swallow, because I did not come into this faith through this Idren. And what I knew before I met him I basically taught Iself. On the other hand I admit I don't know all I need to Know as of yet, an in some ways he has helped.I don't believe though that I should be made to feel inferior to any one especially I King.In my search I learned that RastfarI is Peace & Love, Most times this just feel like a dictatorship! I give him the utmost respect an when I feel I need to voice my Opinion he becomes a beast. Some body let me Know if I'm too sensitve or is He too aggresive. RastafarI Live, I Powahs

This is from a reasoning I made before. It sums up I opinion on the matter. ------------------------------------ I don't accept that a woman has no say, and should just do whatever a man say. Many men out there are not good examples of Jah livity, and all they will do is teach a woman foolishness. And a woman shouldn't go against God, because a man tell her to do it. And also, I sight that the men who don't consider the instruction and opinion of their wife will be weak. I will never refuse good instruction, or correction, no matter who brings it to I. I don't have any desire to continue in foolishness because I am too stubborn to deal with what a woman say. A man and woman come together as One, and Jah should be their guide and light. A woman often times will think of things that a man doesn't, and a man will often times think of things that a woman doesn't. Greetings I Powahs.... this was a saddening post for sure. The I is the mother of the universe and a living Goddess to be respected with as much respect as the I gives to the Self. A King and Queen is Right, but neither is over the other, perhaps your man has fallen under the spell of male supremacy, for if he cannot speak to the I with decency then how clean can he be? Everyone has much to learn and to disagree is a stepping stone in reasoning, if he's telling you without listening to you, then there is a problem. Perhaps I'm reading too much into this, but when I heard "beast" I was freaked out, and I don't think you'd have come to an internet forum and divulge this unless you needed to be heard. Blessed Love I sistren, it is indeed a sad thing to hear of such things. I wont try to pass judgement on thy relationship with thy kingman or try to give a lot of advice after hearing only one side of the story, plz dont take this to mean that i am doubting you, just two sides to everything in life. All i can say right now is for you to study the example of INI King Alpha and Queen Omega, see how closely you relate your livity to the life of Empress Menen and see how your kingman lives up to the example of I devine Majesty...........if your king is, in anyway, stalling your trod towards the Father, then find a better path. Greetings Sister You sound as though you are in a tough situation, I pray Jah keep the I strong and Jah humble the spirit of your Kingman. As others have said man and woman have a spiritual, cosmic balance and as a woman you are blessed with emotional strength, an instinctual love and the ability to carry the gift of life. A King also has his natural strengths, compatible with yours and perhaps (if you'll allow me to be presumptous without knowing the full story), what you both need to do is go back and find this balance within yourself and communicate that to him. Every love is unique and blessed so. Its not about whose right or wrong, but maintaining that balance in order to live in harmony. Your descriptions of his 'beast' like ways are vague and its hard to comment more on the situation, but Sister I pray its nothing sinister you refer to. JAH be your guide, and hold firm as an Empress of the Sun. Blessed Love

Empress, ones and ones must remember and some have forgotten that I n I bond- man and wombman is a royal bond. Selassie and Empress menen are one. "Bones of my Bones Flesh of my flesh", King Alpha and Queen Omega. If I n I praise them I n I should follow in them order. Selassie crowned mama omega on the same day he was crowned, look at the power of that. He had his role, she had hers, but together they built a royal foundation of I n I. Some may view this differently, but that is how I see it. Some rastamon do feel that they can have more then one empress, some feel wombmen have no say. But, I n I are on the frontline just like man, so I just hope u find the truth within urself, Jah will guide the I. I don't feel ur too sensitive. It is not only a man, I feel that some reasonments are not free to discuss without getting fire blazed. Personally, how can I n I grow if I n I do not ask questions. I read an article from Garvey's newspaper, if I was to approach it to ones and ones for answers, I would get fire. So, sometimes when u reason bout things, it may cause that reaction. Have u asked him how he views wombman and wombman role in Rastafari?
