InI have been reading and in the Kebra Negast where Solomon crowns his son to rule Etiopia and Jeruselem there is a passage that says after his crowning that from then on only a male will rule Ethiopia from then on. Sheba was the last female ruler and I was wondering if anyone knows of those that ruled before her. I just ask this as Iman am just trying to learn more history and more knowledge.
Give thanks

The queen of Sheba was not the last female ruler of Ethiopia. Even His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I was preceeded by the Empress Zauditu, and she was not the only Empress to rule.
There are books out there that give account of the various Ethiopian Emperors and Empresses through time. I will try and track down where I got the copy I have from and forward the link here.
Blessed love.
